23.01.2022 Improved flexibility is one of the first and most obvious benefits of yoga. During your first class, you probably won't be able to touch your toes, never mind do a backbend. But if you stick with it, you'll notice a gradual loosening, and eventually, seemingly impossible poses will become possible. You'll also probably notice that aches and pains start to disappear. That's no coincidence. Tight hips can strain the knee joint due to improper alignment of the thigh and shinbones. Tight hamstrings can lead to a flattening of the lumbar spine, which can cause back pain. And inflexibility in muscles and connective tissue, such as fascia and ligaments, can cause poor posture.

21.01.2022 Downward Dog Split or Three Legged Dog - you know practice makes things better.. Downward Dog was NOT one of my favourite postures to start with BUT over time and practice the body releases and allows us to go further. What felt odd and uncomfortable now feels so good. Like a stranger who became a best friend. I just LOVE any variation to D.Dog as it not only strengthens and lengthens the body but this is a restorative posture and there is a sense on relaxation as it calms the nervous system. AKA - EkaPadaAdhoMukhaSvanasana

20.01.2022 Yoga is most beneficial after a workout as a great cool down. The poses will stretch all of the muscles you just used, which can help to reduce soreness and speed healing. Getting oxygen into your muscles is just as important after the workout as before, because this will help your muscles to recover and grow during rest time. The meditation at the end of a yoga session will also help you to relax your mind and return to a resting heart rate. Because yoga focuses and relaxes the mind and body, a class is a great way to end a workout.

15.01.2022 Wide Leg Forward Fold aka Anti-Aging pose. While you are upside down, the weight of the world is literally off your shoulder! Your face will get a rush of oxygen going to it. This is rejuvenating and healing. Sagginess will be reversed, all over the face and scalp benefits also extend to your breasts, as they are no longer working to keep themselves upright. Stretching the hamstrings releases tension in the back and you feel the vertebrae come apart. All this helping to combat general aches and pains.
