24.01.2022 Good Morning Buddies! Hope everyone had a good Christmas break. We would restart our regular badminton session this coming Thursday, 2nd January. If you are regular and back in Darwin see you there. If you are new who made a new year resolution to improve health, see you there too. Remember ours is a Social group and all family members are welcome. Wishing you a prosperous new year 2020.

11.01.2022 *Important Notice* Please note the change of membership fees for the year 2020. New members membership fee is $30 per year. However, old members fees will remain at $20 if renewed before *Feb 28th 2020*, after which it will be $30. Hence, request to update your membership at the earliest as we are running low on shuttles. Those new, We also have some spare racquets if you want to give it a try before committing. ... We would also purge the whatsapp list as of March 31st 2020 of who are not the current member, ex-member or DMA representative for privacy reasons. If any questions please let Advi or Ashok know and we will assist you. Thank you

11.01.2022 Badminton resumed, meeting every Thursday and Friday arvo. Welcome back with new guidelines in place. Social distancing. Own gears, no sharing. Max 10 people. Wipes available.

09.01.2022 *News update*: On Friday a variety of shuttles were analysed for flight, durability, feel. We have shortlisted. ... *Yonex Mavis 600 blue ribbon, yellow shuttles* (medium flight-dry season). Second choice is *Yonex Mavis 350 green ribbon, yellow shuttles* (slow flight- warm weather). Depending on availability and price we may buy one or other or both. Thank you Johnny, Rajeev, Dinu, Advijay, Midhun for helping make the decision.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to all the participant, who played and gave their best shot. We had over 20 teams registered and about 50 members and visitors. Tournament: Winners, runner up. Kids Doubles: Sneha & Kevin, Siya & Steve ... Mixed Doubles: Jimmy & Nigil, Dinoy & Monsi Women's Doubles: Ellen& Jincy, Neethi&Meenakshi. Men's Doubles: Jimmy & Ashok, Dinoy & Monsi(Note: Dinoy replaced Rajesh to pair with Monsichettan in the final matches as he had to leave for work) First of all thanking Advi, who took leave to organise a lot of things including gas, ice, skirtings and did not ditter in spite of his car troubles. Padmaja and Neethi for helping set up the place, help in bbq arrangements & cutting many kgs of onions. Hari for the photography, Rishi for the calligraphy. Rest many who came and added value to the experience apart from brining family and setting the place up and playing well. Thank you all the referees and line-persons. Also, all who stayed back to clean up. Thanks to all the participants who made the competition full of fun and vibrancy. Thanks to DMA for providing the wonderful venue and all assistance required including the use of bbq. Overall great thanks to everybody and surely hope to conduct such a wonderful event with such tremendous support even in the future. See you all in the regular weeks, keep the practice going. 01.01.2022 Important Notice: The membership paid so far this year towards Badminton Buddies will be now valid till June 30th 2021. As we have moved from calendar year subscription to financial year. We are also launching a membership drive this month, July for new players who may be interested. The membership fees currently is $30 per family. One lucky winner joining this month, will be have the membership fees reimbursed. Please share this message with your friends.
