The threats include pandemics, ecosystem collapse, rising food insecurity, nuclear weapons and global warming."

The opening day of the Lloyd's building was met with climate protests over Lloyds insuring the Trans mountains tar sands pipeline and ADANI's Carmichael mine. Carrie Tsai, spokesperson for the StopAdani campaign said: "Lloyd’s needs to act on the climate crisis, not act as the last refuge for climate wreckers like Adani to secure insurance." Lloyd's followed the science for Covid-19, why ignore it for the climate crisis????

08.01.2022 Not only crooked Adani lied about the size of the mine, but secret government documents reveal Adani has only paid 2% of what is required for rehabilitation for the first 5 years of work at the Carmichael mine site. Lock the Gate mine rehabilitation coordinator Rick Humphries said: "This is a minuscule amount, given Adani plans to leave behind unrehabilitated mine pits after mining, which will drain central Queensland groundwater aquifers. Queenslanders should not be left to live with the huge mess Adani plans to leave behind, and certainly shouldn’t pay for it.

01.01.2022 The Morrison government has said it refused to sign a global pledge endorsed by 64 countries committing them to reverse biodiversity loss because it was inconsistent with Australia’s policies....... the 10-point plan calls for commitments that include a greater ambition to reduce greenhouse gas pollution and reach net zero emissions by 2050. ...And we know that Australia is so tied up with fossil fuel companies ...so let's sacrifice the biodiversity @##@!!
