20.01.2022 Here is the last 2 pens to go out to finish off the order for conference speaker gifts. These 2 were specifically asked for after the client looked through some older posts to match what she was after. The first being a resin blank I cast myself out of Fluro Pink and Yellow resins to make a super bright pen for a lady which was the request. .. The second one requested is for a man & is a shedded skin from an Australian Carpet Python. Thanks to Aussie Kustom Knife Scales f...or help with the snake skin blank. 19.01.2022 When Im casting resin blanks for my pens. I end up with some pieces / offcuts from the ends leftover. This is a little project I wanted to make using up some of those offcuts. It still needs to be sanded and polished but it is pretty close to finished now. It was a learning curve but I plan on making some more spheres using these techniques and maybe even stepping way out side the boundaries . 19.01.2022 So the pen I have been making for @crimmo20 didn't pass my strict quality control . So it's back to square one. But I like to think that is one of the things that keeps me at the top of my game. I never knowingly sell things that I'm not happy with or have a fault of some sort. 18.01.2022 Good evening everyone. It has been a busy start to the year here at BDJ INKZ getting back into the swing of things. I recently posted some pictures of a learning tower I made for my little apprentice Amaliah and some of her little besties. I have had a few requests to make another run of them ... If you would like one, or know someone that might, then send me a message to discuss and place an order. I will limit the amount I am making (as I also work full time) so it will be a first in first served arrangement, and they should hopefully only take a few weeks to get them done. So who wants one??

17.01.2022 So here is the second of three pens in a new series I have completed. These pens are pretty special and different to anything I have done in the past. These beautiful pens are made with polymer clay. As the clay parts are made by a very talented artist from the USA Im not exactly sure of the processes involved but I do know that each of the designs you see, like the butterflies and each of the flowers, are all made individually and painstakingly wrapped around the inner pen assembly. 12.01.2022 I completed the last pen from a massive order today. This was a really cool group of pens to work on and the photos dont do them justice at all. They are all super bright and have a glass like shine. Im sure their new owner is going to love them...

12.01.2022 Last weekend saw the Annual Gold Coast Show. It is the biggest event of the year for the Woodturning club I am a member of. Here are some pictures of the 10 items I entered. I ended up with 2 x 1st places and 3 x 3rd places and a Judges Encouragement award. I'm pretty happy with my results as this was my first show in the Opens Level and there is some extremely good woodturners in that category. One of the first places I was happiest about was for a pen I made. It is the third time I have entered an item in this category and the third time I have won it, which goes to show BDJ INKZ can provide some award winning quality items.

08.01.2022 Here are a few pictures of a pen that I recently completed. The two tone copper kit actually looks a lot like rose gold and I think it matches the blank beautifully, the blank itself is made from a real Jack Daniels bottle top. This is truely a beautiful pen. What do you think?

As it is taking my new helper a littler longer then expected to be trained up there hasnt been many items being made. I got some super cheap used pavers off market place and paved the area underneath it. I Got the timber from work that we were selling off. ... I got the sink off market place, And Amaliah got all the plumbing work to make it useable with running water specially made up by Grandpa, Thanks Pa . It was a fun little project to make

02.01.2022 So about 7 weeks ago my finger decided to have a fight with a router trimmer. After surgery and weeks of little movement and taking care not to get an infection, I have finally been able to get back in the shed and make a couple of pens. Im really happy with how these have turned out. The first one is a Beautiful looking pen made with real Watch parts embedded inside the resin partnered with a nice Antique Copper kit for that rustic Steampunk look. The second is Abalone she...ll (or Pua in New Zealand) wrapped around a nice black and chrome click kit.
