17.01.2022 The Australian Death Notification Service (ADNS) is now live. It allows families to notify relevant organisations when someone close to them passes away so their accounts can be closed or transferred. The ADNS validates details about the person who has passed away against the Australian Death Check, a system that holds death registration data recorded by Birth, Deaths and Marriages Registries: https://deathnotification.gov.au/

16.01.2022 It's been a rewarding two weeks on the road with the Pathfinders Paul Ramsay Birth Certificate program. Our Community Engagement team provided one-on-one assistance to Aboriginal Australians to receive 500 free birth certificates and processed over 60 new birth registrations. It really highlighted the need for access to this vitally important identity document in these communities.
