08.01.2022 ASSIGNING PROPER VALUE TO ATTITUDE, EMOTION AND SPEECH At an early age, through family, peer group, and institutional experiences, a human being develops an uns...poken - and often unrecognized - Matrix of Interaction - an 'M.O.I.' for short. Through this matrix the person learns to assign relevance, value, and receptivity/revulsion reflexes to certain types of attitudes exhibited, emotions expressed, and speech uttered by others. We need to understand what types of things others choose to think, feel, say, and do that 'triggers' reactions - be they based in wisdom or in folly - in us. In other words, we need to learn the difference between what is 'ours' and what is just a triggered response to someone else. Over the next few weeks we will spend some time, the Holy One willing, talking on this platform about how we can upgrade our M.O.I. - and improve the quality of our interactions with people, situations, and Creation - in the process.
