25.01.2022 @nickbosher_ 8 year natural body transformation _ It’s funny, in my life I have always struggled to set longer term goals and stick at things without becoming distracted or changing paths.... _ Training is different. It’s therapy. It’s calm. It gives me a focus and drive that nothing else has (so far). I wouldn’t say I actually ever set out with a goal with my training either. I just want to improve. Constantly. _ That drive for perpetual improvement leads me to search out as much information as possible that will help me. I always think that if you want to get better at anything, just spend most of your time listening. Be a sponge. Soak up as much information as possible, and then sift out the useless crap after by yourself. _ I don’t really know what I’m trying to get at now and I’m rambling. So anyway, I’m pretty proud of where I have come, but still have so far to go.. _ With many things in life, the process is the best part. And lucky for me when it comes to training, lifting weights and improving overall health (external, internal and mental), the process never ends See more

The dead stop after each rep allows you to set and really focus on contracting your lats on every rep.... Dont worry about the slight arching of my back on each rep - try it...Allowing that slight arch helps you to really contract and squeeze your back as much as possible. My first time using a safety bar for squats and I didnt enjoy it at all The important thing when trying something new is to stick to it. Unless you really give something a good try, you wont know whether its working/worthwhile. This is hugely common with program hoppers, people that jump from one program to another, using different exercises every single time. 12.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE In response to the PMs announcement at 21:00 on Sunday the 22nd of March, we have the following update; At F45 Bondi Beach we have always delivered innovative training to our F45 family and we will continue to do that. Due to the temporary closures of all Indoor Sports we will have no option but to move our indoor training to outdoor training. We aim to run a minimum of 5 classes per day with similar class programs every day. ... Our first outdoor class time will be Monday the 23rd of March at 17:00. We will be taking social distancing very serious and all members must bring a towel to train. In addition to the outdoor training, F45 Training has developed an innovative online, at-home training program that is available for all F45 Bondi Beach members immediately. As a family we understand that there will be challenging times ahead. Our aim is to keep our members fit and healthy, both physically and mentally, throughout this challenging time. If you have suffered from redundancy or hard times we want to support you and we will be providing concession memberships for any person who has suffered a loss of income at this tough time. At the end of the day thats what family is there for. We will endeavour to send you another email by 12pm Monday 23rd March with all of our new class times along with the information you will need. 09.01.2022 #Repost @tombaileypt 10 DAYS UNTIL GYMS RE-OPEN - Got a plan? (The video is actually from my excitement having poured a perfect espresso shot from my new coffee machine - but its fitting)... My plan is to train full body 3x per week for the first couple of weeks back, then transition to a push/pull/legs split. I wrote a rough plan of exercises based on what Ive missed doing, what I enjoy and what constitutes a balanced workout. It may change a little on the day (e.g swapping all the leg exercises for chest and arms), but currently looks like this: Barbell deadlift Leg press Calf raises Neutral grip cable rows Barbell bench press Lateral raises Face pulls Decline Reverse crunches Barbell squat Lying hamstring curl Leg extensions Incline dumbbell press Pull-ups Overhead cable extension EZ Bar curls Oblique crunches Barbell hip thrust Barbell Romanian deadlift Bulgarian split squats Calf raises Chest dips Cable flyes Close grip lat pulldown Pronated cable rows Lateral raises 3 sets per exercise, 10-15 repetitions per set, taken to an 8/10 RPE. Ill be keeping reps higher initially because whilst building strength does require you to use heavier weight it is also a skill and requires practice through repetition. 09.01.2022 @graceecarr I’ve been adding this killer exercise into all my girls programs - I program it after our compound lifts usually as a super set with a hip thrust or rdl... - It’s quickly become a new favourite - Some tips: 1. We aren’t doing these like a normal hip thrust where we move from sternum down only, here we are hinging around the bench to feel it more in our glutes 2. We want to get full hip extension in this exercise to reap the benefits, push the hips as high as possible but don’t overarch the back 3. (Home done hair cut is optional )... _ Full Workout: 1 Bent over row 2 Lat pulldown 3 Lat pullover 4 Face pulls 5 Single arm row _ The band Im using is really strong so I can just do normal sets and rep ranges (eg: 4 x 10-12 for each exercise). If the band was lighter then I would just superset exercises in pairs to increase the intensity. _ Hope this is helpful :) See more

02.01.2022 If your looking for a PT check out @ graceecarr CABLE PULL THROUGH - An exercise that many people get wrong. This is a hip hinge movement! Not a squat movement.... - My top cues for this move: - 1. PUSH HIPS BACK - push your butt back as much as you can. Youll start to feel it on the glutes and hams. Pause for a few seconds and then squeeze the glutes to come up - 2. THIS ISNT A SQUAT - this movement starts at the hips not the knees so dont initiate it by squating, you wont get any tension from this - 3. DONT HYPEREXTEND - Squeeze the glutes at the top but do not hyperextend as can hurt our back and is unnecessary - 4. DONT USE YOUR ARMS - to pull the rope through, we want to just use our lower body. I lightly grip the rope so my arms dont take over - 5. HEAD SHOULD FOLLOW THE HINGE - dont look at yourself in the mirror (we are all guilty lol) or up at the ceiling. Keep a neutral spine - 6.
