24.01.2022 Is the language you use empowering yourself and your loved ones or is it limiting your potential? Our words have the ability to build people up or tear them down. They can resonate eternally and have lifelong ramifications so we need to choose them wisely. Focus on your internal and external dialogues over the next few days and see how yours stack up. Be honest with yourself. It is what it is. It is a result of everything you have experienced until now. That doesn't mean it ...can't be changed if need be. It is only when we become consciously aware of our limitations that we can do something to improve upon them. 11.01.2022 10 Facts About Cyberbullying Every Parent Needs to Know. About 37% of young people between the ages of 12 and 17 have been bullied online. 30% have had it hap...pen more than once. 95% of teens in the U.S. are online, and the vast majority access the internet on their mobile device, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying. 23% of students reported that they’ve said or done something mean or cruel to another person online. 27% reported that they’ve experienced the same from someone else. Girls are more likely than boys to be both victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying. 15% of teen girls have been the target of at least four different kinds of abusive online behaviors, compared with 6% of boys. About half of LGBTQ+ students experience online harassment -- a rate higher than average. Instagram is the social media site where most young people report experiencing cyberbullying, with 42% of those surveyed experiencing harassment on the platform. Young people who experience cyberbullying are at a greater risk than those who don’t for both self-harm and suicidal behaviors. 60% of young people have witnessed online bullying. Most do not intervene. Only 1 in 10 teen victims will inform a parent or trusted adult of their abuse. 03.01.2022 Growing up ain't easy. Growing up in a toxic environment is worse. Here is a great article on how being verbally abused as a child impacts our adult behaviours.... One of my favourite sayings from Tony Robbins is "Heal the Boy and the Man will appear". This applies to us all. Our fractured inner selves stand between us and who we are meant to be. Have a read of the article and ask yourself this; Do I need to heal my inner child? You'll know the answer by the time you have finished. 01.01.2022 The Kids Aren't Alright. Those who know me know how passionate I am about encouraging and empowering kids, helping them harness their individuality and indivi...dual awesomeness and supporting them where possible to step into their super-powers. They may not know why though, so here are a few of my reasons; Because of the impact not having a present father and strong male presence had on me, my life, my self worth, my spirit. Because the magnificent little creatures deserve every opportunity and need to be equipped with these tools and the tenacity to not only survive this life but to thrive in it. Because the things our kids will be judged for while they are younger are the same things they will be admired for later in life IF they can own them, accept them and love that about themselves. Because they deserve it. I could go on for days but will leave it at those for now. My content on FB will be focussing on the little monkeys for a while, I hope you like it and get some value out of it.
