21.01.2022 Well after last Sunday's gentle but not so gentle '7km' winds that required the odd 7 minutes of windage... The forecast for this Sunday is stunning! 13*C - 32*C (Bring your water!)... Mostly sunny. Slight (20%) chance of a shower in the south in the afternoon and evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the south in the afternoon and evening. Winds north to north-westerly 15 to 25 km/h tending north to north-easterly 25 to 35 km/h during the day then becoming northerly 15 to 20 km/h during the evening. Now if that doesn't whet your appetite for some great competition, I don't know what will!

And there's a lot of it in this sport and I'd like to think some of you have it hidden away ready to show the rest of us. Posted by Bernard Williams - Belmont Queen's 1972. Does it sound bad when I say, "that's almost 50 years ago?" Much has changed but there is so much that is recognisable to us ... in 2020. Isn't it great to think that we are still shooting on the hallowed turf at Belmont and many other ranges! QRA Queensland Rifle Association - lots of history.

15.01.2022 Beaudesert Rifle Club has a very full schedule for this weekend and not just on our range! ON THE RANGE Sunday will see RIMFIRE at 8am at the range. It's always popular and growing! Great to see the interest. ... Following rimfire is FULL-BORE at 11am and that will be at 500 yards. It's always a fun range and one where the mirage at Beauy starts to play hard. We are constantly seeing new faces trying our sport @ Beaudesert. This is a reflection of the time that many are putting into our club and our range. The coaches, those doing the upgrades and maintenance on the range and targets, those pulling targets for Sporter/Hunter, the RO's, the guys running the safety courses should take a bow. The result of your work is a healthy group of happy shooters on the mound each week and a growing interest in our sport. OFF TO BELMONT A large contingent of 9 Beaudesert shooters will be headed for Belmont to contest the Eric Murray Shield. They are across 4 teams for SEDRA going up against MDRA and DDDRA. It shows the strength of Beaudesert Rifle Club and the shooters it is progressively developing within the sport! We wish them well. To all, have a great weekend. 11.01.2022 I've been on the search for some 'happy snaps' of years past. This is a beaut! The late Eddie Moss and co-conspirators at a Xmas Party a few years back. Now, I'm not sure I want to know what mischief they were getting into! They do look rather amused at what they'd done... or is that guilty? TAKE NOTE - fun-filled practical jokers seem to be high in number at Beaudesert Rifle Club, Beaudesert Rimfire Club...

02.01.2022 40+ law students will be having their work integrated learning program at Belmont Shooting Complex. A new initiative between the University of Queensland and th...e QRA. With a successful program last year this has become a part of UQ's ongoing curriculum. With growing numbers criminology tutor Emma explains: "It is extremely popular with students, which is fantastic!". It will be a day full of activities related to gun laws, the history of shooting and off course the practical side. "Most of these students have never been close to a firearm. Let alone see the community and sport side these laws influence. These students are the future of our ability to participate in our sport." says Program Manager Maartje.
