19.01.2022 One of the Year 3 students favourite lessons during Home Learning was their coding activity. We are continuing this activity within the classroom. The students love to demonstrate to the whole class how they completed their coding tasks.

12.01.2022 It has been so busy in Year 3 since we have started back at school. We have been practising yoga on a fortnightly basis as part of our Health Inquiry unit and today we learned about body systems during a Webex incursion from Mad about Science .

12.01.2022 Wow - what amazing Book Week dress ups! Thank you everyone for wearing such fabulous, creative outfits. We hope everyone enjoyed the day.

12.01.2022 The Year 3 students have been working hard today doing research for their Health project. The goal this term is to understand and explore a range of strategies that maintain health and wellbeing, with the focus on how might we promote healthy living choices in our community.

11.01.2022 Congratulations to our School Captains Erin and Jensen and Vice Captains Leo and Evie for their leadership of our whole school. Thank you to Erin and Jensen for representing Beaumaris PS at the local community commemoration. It is important for our school to participate in significant events within the community and we thank Erin and Jensen for accepting the invitation to attend and laying a wreath on behalf of the school.

10.01.2022 This Friday 30th of October Beaumaris Primary school will be wearing ‘A touch of red’ to recognise Day for Daniel. Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest day of action to raise awareness of child safety, protection, and harm prevention. Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe. Students may like to wear a red t shirt, socks, ribbon or shoes.... On this day each year we learn about how to keep children safe and teach the key principles of Recognise, React and Report.

09.01.2022 Earlier in Term 2 we were truly overwhelmed as a staff when we were made aware of the donations by families towards a gift of thanks to staff for all their efforts during Home Learning. The donations became an individual gift to staff and we kept some funds aside to use to celebrate the return of all staff on site. Today seemed the perfect time to use the funds to celebrate our return to school and celebrate World Teacher' Day with a morning tea for all our staff to enjoy. Thank you to our families.

09.01.2022 Our Chickens have arrived! If you want to name a chicken go down to the office and put a name in the box, along with your name by Friday 20th. Logan, Josh and Angus, our chicken captains and are taking very good care of them.

08.01.2022 On Wednesday, the Prep students celebrated their 100+ Days of School in their pyjamas. It was a fun day, filled with many exciting activities such as craft, scavenger hunts, picnic lunches and parachuting. This day was an excellent opportunity for us to celebrate the hard work and resilience the Preps have shown throughout their first year of school. ‘It was the best day ever!’ Quote Prep Students 2020

08.01.2022 The Year 4’s have been loving using their devices during our incursion ‘Code Camp’. The students design and create games using block coding. They watch an instruction video to build a multilevel arcade game, choosing to either add to their previous work or create a new game. This program has extended their digital technology skills this year.

06.01.2022 Yesterday the Year 5 Upstanders had their project launch. Due to current restrictions, it looked a little bit different! The students had a guest speaker, James Newbury, and listened to former Upstanders share the experiences they had. They had discussions with students from Sandringham, Sandringham East and Brighton Beach primary school and are ready to get started on their project. A great day had by all!

03.01.2022 The Year 2s have responded so well to the Health Investigations. We are always so impressed with their ability to problem solve, collaborate and create!
