19.01.2022 As expected it is a moving target with the relaxation of operation rules......see attached which clarifies the new changes now confirming I am unable to open in this stage. The loosening of restrictions in NSW has led to some confusion, particularly for those working in the beauty industry (tanning/waxing/spa services) about what is allowed at this time and what is not. The relaxation of the rules was posted on the NSW government's Covid website over the weekend (https://www....nsw.gov.au//what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rul) and was amended three times after beauticians bombarded the NSW government's hotline.. trying to get clarity particularly over mobile/in home services. So as it stands... if you own a salon, you can open but can only sell products and gift vouchers, customers cannot come to you for a wax, spa treatment etc BUT mobile service (incl Spas, nail salons, beauty salons, waxing salons and tanning salons ) can operate where the business is not conducted in the operator's home. Social distancing should be followed when visiting people's homes. (this is the latest advice we have received, 8.06am from NSW government) HAS THIS CLEARED IT UP FOR YOU? 13.01.2022 You may or may not have heard, late yesterday the government lifted the restrictions on home salons. I have spoken to the NSW Health Department and yes, while we have been givenpermission to operate again (with all necessary precautions)it is up to the individual salon to make this decision. Therefore,I am taking this time to evaluate what extra measures I may need to take to be comfortable that I am still providing my usual quality of services (within the guidelines),while ensuring safety for us all. I will work through this with great consideration and will inform you as soon as a decision is made, so stay tuned.
