24.01.2022 I know this might not mean much to some, but most of the people who know me know that I can't stand being inside for long periods of time. The council chambers which are like our house as they are of the same era, are bloody cold in the morning and then stuffy and hot in the afternoon. Ian rags me all the time for opening up our house windows and doors to freshen the place up. So I asked in council today about the close windows which seemed a permanent fixture and funnily enough no one remembers the windows ever been open so we did today, with our CEO being first contact.

21.01.2022 Yellow ribbons represent hope and remembrance. To commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the 2009 bushfires, yellow ribbons are available at a number of locatio...ns across Murrindindi Shire. You can pick up a ribbon at any of our Council Offices and Libraries, or at Kinglake Ranges Neighbourhood House, Flowerdale Community-House, Toolangi Castella District Community House, Yea Community House or through the Marysville and Triangle Community Foundation at MiRa Marysville. 20.01.2022 I also will take a picture of the abysmal state of my garden to let you all know how much time we as councillors have spent a huge chunk of our time in inductions, which credit to council staff have been very comprehensive, so that when the new year rolls in we are off to a flying start, the feedback from councillors from other shires is that we are way ahead of the eight ball. Which is great from my perspective as I don't have to feel like a huge duck just a littlish duck.

18.01.2022 Sorry haven't written anything for awhile, I'm no good at this Facebook y thing, as basically I don't have enough time to go on it. But another reason in the past week is that if I saw any post for Graham Chisholm again I would just burst into tears again, which I have just done reading Andrews post.

17.01.2022 Some of the issues people have raised with me are: rubbish piling up on our highways, which i totally agree with it has been a bug bear of mine for awhile now. clearer ride sharing rules on the rail trail between horses and bike riders, rates increase of $600 on farming properties that actually don't get council services, incessant barking dogs,... jobs for youth in particular. Anything else that people are concerned about? See more

15.01.2022 May this powerful new force keep growing in 2019.

13.01.2022 Just like to correct something that Ash Long put in last weeks paper, which stated that I played for the Yea Football Netball club, I have never played either football or netball but I was the Under 18's manager and the secretary of the Juniors.

12.01.2022 And another thing, after with my older friends I have come to discover that they all go to the same neurologist whom my dad saw, so if they are all going down there to greensborough, roughly two hrs, but before that you have to get your relative ready which can take two hours. Go down to Melbourne sit in the waiting room for possibly an hour, see the neurologist for ten minutes at $180 a go, and then head back up the hill. why can't this particular ass. Professor come up over the hill once a fortnight to see our residents. And I know for a fact that he comes to Yea as he likes the bike trails, so he is not unfamiliar with the area. that is just one example I have plenty more as have been doing this for awhile now

11.01.2022 Like to say a big thankyou to the Yea Historical Society, it was a great display over the weekend at the town hall, I saw all the time and effort that went in, even the state opposition leader turned up to have a look. Congratulations

10.01.2022 Calling all traditional skills folk out there to be a part of our traditional skills fair here in Yea held in conjunction with the Yea Ag show. It was a big hit last year in our first year, and we want to continue that success, so any potters, weavers, fly fisher folk, saddle makers, fletchers, you get my drift, come and join us. To be held on the 25th of November at the Yea recreation reserve.

10.01.2022 I thought it might be prudent to mention my platform, or my main one anyway. As most of you know I was dads carer during his very awful illness and eventual death, and now for mum with her stroke, the thing that befuddles me is why are all the services in Melbourne, we have great GPS in Yea, although I hear that there is only one in Alexandra whom I imagine is run off her feet. There is a fantastic new hospital over there with very little allied health professionals such as neurologists, no rehab facilities, nada, we all have to go to Melbourne

09.01.2022 Spent the day up at Kinglake yesterday as part of the Herald sun Jayco bike race, first bike race I have ever attended, it was quite interesting and had a major crash course in all things bike. Kinglake was also tweeting sixth on the twitter feed one below Pauline Hanson, don't know where trump came into that mix. The locals came out in force and the helicopter feed of Kinglake was very impressive. I got my bum on international to.
