25.01.2022 It was a pleasure to visit Mount Gravatt State High School yesterday to see the results of the School Sport and Recreation Facility Upgrade Program Grant for their newly refurbished multi-purpose outdoor courts and see the students in action using this very popular facility. As a former PE teacher I know the importance of facilities such as these for the school sports program. The grant is funded by Brisbane City Council and Department of Education Qld for upgrades of existing school sport and recreation facilities.

This fantastic project is a collaboration between the school Eco Club Students, Grounds Staff and Mt Gravatt Environment Group who are working together to re-establish vegetation on sites where it has been lost, to protect and enhance the habitat for native species of plants and wildlife.

Hill in honour of Hannah and her children Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey. A dedicated section of this park will be a place of remembrance and reflection for our community. It will also remind us why we must continue to work together to end domestic and family violence.
