20.01.2022 First application of dye dry. Will go over the whole lot again to even it out and make sure no bits got missed (I also colour the inside as I think it gives a more professional finish, even though it uses a lot of dye). Once I'm happy with the colour, I'll wax harden everything except the straps, which will make the colour a little deeper.

19.01.2022 Finished! The beeswax soaks deep into the leather which makes the purple darker and richer. Everyone needs a metalic sloth as their right hand man right? Looking forward to Swordcraft Spring Quest later this week, if only my fighting skills were as good as my armour making skills...

17.01.2022 Custom beeswax hardened leather boobplate corset with removable shoulder straps. Showing the different strap configurations, snap closures down both sides and the corset lacing at the back. I'll need to get a photo out in actual sunlight to show off the colour, it's actually deep purple, ended up a little darker than planned, but that's the joy of working with natural materials - it's pretty much impossible to guess exactly how colours will end up.

17.01.2022 6 strand keyring floggers made of kangaroo hide. Just a little mini project, I haven't made these in years.

16.01.2022 I decided that I hated the way the green turned out. It meant re-making half the lames, but I'm much happier with this colour effect. Got to love it being asked to make pineapple themed armour.

15.01.2022 Finally managed to get started on this custom leather boobplate corset. The trickiest part - wet moulding - is now done. Next will be all the time consuming bits - drying, edge finishing, colouring, more drying, wax finishing, final assembly and fitting.

13.01.2022 My leather bound LARP healer's "book". Complete with hidden magnetic clasp and removable shoulder strap.

12.01.2022 Work in progress. Back of my book cover for LARP. It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how it's coming together and it's been good practice to improve on my speed. Took me about 2 hours to do this, where I'd normally spend 3 times that for a similar sized peice for a customer. Since it's a personal project, it feels good to be able to experiment and not stress about it turning out how I planned.

10.01.2022 Made myself a belt pouch, designed to be big enough for a phone, wallet and keys. Made with some very very old leather, rescued from a shed, made for some interesting patterns in the colour.
