25.01.2022 I actually have diagnosed depression and I think there's a grain of truth to this. A grain and a heavy pinch of salt. New clothes, or good clothes, clothes that make you feel special and pretty are a great form of self care. They certainly won't cure depression but they may help you feel a little brighter and more able to face the world. The more my brain is struggling, the more I turn to clothing as a form of showing myself that I can be ok. That being said, please do not ...spend all your money on new clothes because you think they'll make you happy. They won't, they will just make you poor and depressed. Work with what you have and stick to the occasional treat. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #confessionsofashopalic #sophiekinsella #stylequotes #thoughtoftheday #depression #mentalhealth #selfcare #newclothes #happyclothes #clothesmakemefeelgood #lookgoodfeelgood See more

22.01.2022 I got it wrong today. I tried something new and it didn't work like I pictured it would. That's ok, my style is evolving and not every new idea is going to be a winner. I encourage people to experiment and play with their style because you never know what sucesses you might have, but with that comes the potential to just....get it wrong sometimes. It happens to everyone- think of all the celebrities that have graced both best and worst dressed lists. Don't give up on yourself... if you don't love one outfit. Try again tomorrow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #sometimesyouwin #sometimesyoulose #learningexperince #betternexttime #worstdressed #bestdressed #experiment #learn #grow #evolve #style #stylist See more

21.01.2022 Reading "The Blood Countess" by Tara Moss I came across this quote. I adore it because it is both true and elouqently put. 18.01.2022 As humans we're creatures of habit. Our wardrobes aren't immune to this tendency. We often fall into the trap of pigeonholing our clothes. For example a skirt may be a "work" skirt so you'd never consider wearing it to dinner, or maybe you always wear the same jewelry with a certain dress. In this case, I always paired these slouchy casual jeans with tshirts and sneakers, so today I made a conscious choice to break the pattern. Instead I paired my casual mum jeans with a fri...lled blouse and chunky heels. In order to get the most from your wardrobe you need it to be versatile across outfits and occasions, which means learning to break patterns and mix things up. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #styletip #styleadvice #styleinpso #stylist #asistylist #breakthepattern #trysomethingnew #mixitup #lookgoodfeelgood See more

18.01.2022 How many of you are guilty of this? There can be so many reasons why we don't wear everything in our wardrobes; maybe things don't fit properly anymore, don't suit your lifestyle or maybe you fell in love with a piece but don't know how, or don't feel comfortable enough to wear it out. You don't necessarily need to get rid of everything but your wardrobe should work for you and a stylist can show you how to get the best from what you have.

17.01.2022 I wasn't going to post this, because even though I loved my outfit and felt great in it when I looked back at the photos all I could see were flaws. Then I decided that was the best reason of all to share it. My message is all about using clothes to your advantage and feeling good about yourself I was feeling anxious about going to a family event with my new hair and this outfit made me feel cool and fun and the best version of myself. Do I love the photo? No. Do I love how... I felt when I was wearing this anyway? Hell yes. . . . . . . . . . . . . #lookgoodfeelgood #lookgoodfeelgreat #confidenceboost #confidence #pictureslie #attitudeiseverything See more

15.01.2022 Little bit of fun for a Sunday

14.01.2022 The rule of thirds, based on the Fibonacci sequence is simple tool for looking balanced and in proportion. Without going too much into the maths behind it, you will look better if your outfit "cuts" your body into thirds, as opposed to halves or quarters. A 2/3rds to 1/3rd ratio is most common. In this outfit I am 2/3rds leg (achieved with high waisted pants) and 1/3rd top (my tucked in shirt). There's lots of ways to create this ratio though; 2/3rds midlength dress to 1/3rd... leg, 1/3rd cropped jacket with 1/3rd long top and 1/3rd jeans. Take a look in the mirror, how is your outfit cutting you? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #styletip #styleadvice #stylist #fibonaccisequence #fibonacci #goldenrule #ruleofthirds #mathsandfashion #thirds #highwaistedpantsforlife See more

14.01.2022 Who said you cant wear bright colours in winter? It's easy to think of clothes as "summer" or "winter" clothing, but your wardrobe should work for you all year round. 08.01.2022 Not only did I get to leave the house today, it was cool enough to bust out one of my favorite pieces, this gorgeous knitted batwing top. It's like wearing a good looking blanket. 08.01.2022 Maternity but make it *tropical*. It is hard to dress a body that's changing constantly. There are lots of really cute, stylish maternity clothes available but unfortunately most of them are very expensive for things you can only wear for a few months. My advice? Get a few good basics and then look for things you can wear afterwards or upsize regular styles. I would normally wear this oversized shirt as a dress, open over a crop top or knotted up to make a crop. My bump mea...ns that those styles didn't quite work, but loose over a basic tank dress with some bold earrings it worked great. I'm not going to pretend that I don't feel like a giant shapeless blob because I do, but I still find joy in colour and accessories and of course the knowledge that I get to meet my babies soon. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #maternity #tropical #babybump #dressingchangingbodies #stylist #pregnant #pregnacystyle #maternityclothes #maternityoutfit #workaround See more

02.01.2022 Check out this before and after from the weekend! (And it doesn't even show the second wardrobe or all the drawers). This gorgeous lady has had some big weight changes in the last year due to health reasons. She was hanging onto everything "just in case" because she didn't want to replace them as her weight is still changing, but she wanted to make room for her partner to move in So instead of my just my usual "keep and donate" piles we also had a "storage" box. Things th...at fit now went into the wardrobe, things that are unlikely to fit again went to donate and things that almost fit went into storage. We did do a bit of a standard cull too, I love a good black blazer but no one needs six! Now everything in her wardrobe is wearable and there's room to spare. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #wardrobedetox #cleanout #weightgain #weightloss #clothing #dresses #makingspace #stylist #stylehelp #shopaholic See more

01.01.2022 Watched a mini biography on Coco Chanel this morning and it has me inspired to conquer the world. This immensely quotable women not only changed the face of fashion, but continues to inspire women in all walks of life to be true to themselves and suceed. When in doubt, be like Coco, which is to be uncompromising in being yourself.
