18.01.2022 The Office of Emergency Management has provided an update on the upcoming removal of debris and buildings on bush-fire affected properties. This has changed our recent planning to work with property owners directly, to clean up their properties, with the generous financial support of a local not-for-profit organization. We are now planning to work directly with the State Government within their processes and timeframes. Importantly for you, property owners, is that your prope...Continue reading

12.01.2022 Like you, we are doing our best to control the spread. Fortunately most of our service to you is performed solitary safely inside earthmoving equipment. We are taking this seriously and are putting measures in place to protect our clients as well as ourselves so this essential earthmoving service can carry on to you, hopefully uninterrupted for the ensuing months. However please note, if it seems necessary at any time or we are instructed to close from Australian Government..., we are prepared do so without exceptions. As for now work is ongoing, weather permitting, and includes: - driveways and access roads - bush fire debris & scrub cleanup - fencelines cleared - jobs already booked in will stay high on our priority list. While for the most part we can carry on, business as usual, for the immediate future, there are some slight changes to the way we communicate with you. - all communication from a safe minimum 8 meter distance, please. Phone is best or in areas without reception, sanitized 2-way radio will enable us to still work with you on site. - we will miss shaking hands and leaning over the back of the Ute for a yarn, and it will feel awkward to keep a distance, but this is temporary, we can get through. Goes without saying, talking through car windows within 4 meters is not advisable either and we’ll do our best to move away to a safer distance - we will not touch your property (gate latches etc) unhygienically, and we ask that you don’t come into contact with our equipment and machinery while it is on your property. We will have visible signs to remind us all of this commitment. - we may need to reschedule jobs that cannot be completed without closer social contact (such as property walk-throughs and briefings). - no visits to us at home, please. - our family is also maintaining safe distance, self isolating and minimizing visits to town. We care about our clients and intend to stop the spread wherever possible. If you have any concerns about being booked in and wanting to reschedule or defer your booking, please contact Tim on 0407436648. If you have any concerns about our equipment and operators you can contact us anytime. Joanna is in the office and can be contacted on 0402505210.

10.01.2022 From Jo Becker. I took this photo on Friday from Bowraville looking towards Taylor’s Arm/Burrapine. Tim was out there in this with the bulldozer. Between Friday morning & Sunday night, Tim has worked on these fires for 36 hours. He’s only slept at home. Last night Tim said he hasn’t been able to answer his phone or get to his client’s places as planned. His phone has been ringing with fire-break requests, but he is out of range and only getting voicemail. Here’s what I kno...w: There is potential that the RFS will potentially move Tim and crew to upper nambucca valley areas such as a Missabotti. If you are not able to get Tim to your place privately at the moment, please be assured if you can knowing that he is with RFS working actively on preventing the spread and the crew will be placed where they can to have most success. Together they are really powerful and making so much progress. I also know that the fire officials will be visiting residents homes in Missabotti and upper Nambucca over the next 3 days to help residents prepare to protect properties if needed. Tim is also really sorry for clients who are waiting on him for more normal work such as dams, driveways and landscaping. Thank you so much for your patience, and understanding that Tim is required to assist RFS and help protect our community.

07.01.2022 Recently I suggested - we could raise money to be able to get our bulldozer out on fire-affected properties and help clear away debris at no cost to the property owners. Thank you all for your encouragement and overwhelming support. We are arranging a partnering with BlazeAid and waiting for council funding - it may take a while to get their funding so please help us get started immediately by donating what you can. We are looking forward to coordinating working with BlazeAid on our client’s properties. If you haven’t yet registered with BlazeAid, please visit Macksville Showground ASAP.
