25.01.2022 A big thank you to Dalby Glass and Aluminium for coming to the kindy's rescue this week! The glass front door of the kindy was accidently cracked by a toy truck, and the wonderful team at Dalby Glass and Aluminium came down to the kindy, removed the door and took it back to their shop to ensure the safety of our kindy kids. Not only that, they fixed the door as an act of goodwill to the kindy, saving the kindy an unexpected expense! Please consider supporting this business in the future! https://www.facebook.com/DalbyGlassandAluminium

23.01.2022 Entered the Compost Awareness Week photo competition. All about participation. Just love to show how much we love our gardens.

22.01.2022 A virtual visit to Dalby Beck Street Kindy 2020. So sadly we have missed some of our signature events like Eisteddfod, but we are still managing to have a great year. So if you have not be able to make it for a visit on Open Day, here is a snapshot of our year so far. Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it, painting it, creating it, playing it. To register your interest in a spot at Dalby Beck Street Kindergarten, please complete our Waiting List Form here: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSdthwb1gS4TjmGOPd/viewform

22.01.2022 Sadly the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Spring Soirée as per our updates on the page. There is still much to look forward to, please mark your calendar - We are planning a much smaller social event Friends of Beck St Kindy Evening on Friday the 23rd of October, 2020. Save the date for a much welcome opportunity to socialise and connect with the families and friends of the kindy without the strong emphasis on fundraising. More details to come

22.01.2022 With these stormy days our kindy kids have become weather watchers. We are harnessing this interest and our focus this week is weather. If you have any photos or insights to share on how it affects you or your farm (good or bad) we would love you to share it in the comments section of this post. Our kindy staff will then share these photos with our children.

21.01.2022 A Huge Thankyou to the Dalby Christian College for a lovely morning tea yesterday. Really enjoyed and appreciated by Beck Street Kindergarten Staff.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our School Based Trainee Amy on being awarded the Our Lady of the Southern Cross College's School Based Apprentice/Trainee of the year. A very well deserved acknowledgement for a hard working lady. We couldn't be more proud. Well done Amy.

18.01.2022 The kindy budgies can’t wait to see their friends again.

17.01.2022 A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Ningana Buddies Project for ANZAC Day, we were able to take down three huge boxes of craft made with love and thoughtfulness for our Ningana Residents. All your efforts are most appreciated. Thank you

16.01.2022 How nice it is to see our Kindy visits to Ningana Retirement Village written up in the January edition of Toowoomba’s Seniors News. These visits will continue on a more regular occurrence this term with an Inter-generational learning program. The benefits of inter-generation learning have been widely documented and we are hoping to see these benefits in both our Children and the Residents of Ningana.

This is a project we have been working on for some time now. We hope you agree it looks fantastic and serves as a warm welcome to new and prospective families. Current families can also find resources and forms on the website. We thank two talented local photographers and current Kindergarten parents for the photos used on the site. Felicity Broadbent First Impressions by Felicity took most of the photos used throughout the site with Hannah Ravenscroft of HR Imagery taking the Spring Soirée photos shown on the Gallery page.

11.01.2022 Thanks Gilliland Livestock Marketing / Raine & Horne for this beautiful raffle donation for tonight's Friends of Beck St Kindy Evening!

10.01.2022 What a great start to the year we’ve had and a fantastic turnout of families to yesterday’s working bee We say it regularly - our facilities and play areas are the result of work done and contributions made by many families over many years. Thank you to our helpers yesterday for the amount of work you got through Trees are trimmed, the garden areas are tidy with weeds gone and most importantly our digging patch area now has a large shade shelter following the removal ...of an unsafe tree in the area last year. Thank you to the Spies family of Darling Downs Shade Shelters for organising the structure. The committee has future plans for this area to come during the year. We hope everyone is now enjoying a restful Sunday.

07.01.2022 Another Kindy project completed - our new shade sail! We were very fortunate to receive funding through Cancer Council Queensland and Queensland Department of Health’s SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative. The initiative provides 50% matched funding for permanent shade. Fundraising money was used to complete the build and we thank our families and the wider community who support us each year and assist in completing our projects.... Many thanks to Ergon Energy for relocating a power pole from where the shade sail is now. Thanks to Western Downs Regional Council for your assistance in the approval process and finally thanks to Craig from Country Shade Sails for his work from initial quotes through to the final installation. A great project that provides more shade in our yard for our students to play and learn under.

02.01.2022 ANZAC Day and our Ningana Retirement Village Buddies. This year we were so excited that we would be commemorating ANZAC Day together, from our youngest to our eldest Members of our little Community and were devastated when it was all cancelled. But we have found a way through our lantern project. Some of you may have seen the milk bottle lanterns being made for the Light up the Street in Driveways at Dawn on ANZAC Day, well we are asking families to make an extra one and rep...lacing the light with a picture, painting, drawing or card and dropping it at the box at the front gate of Kindy next week up until Friday. We will then take them all to Ningana to be spread throughout the Village for the Residents to read and connect with the young people connected to our Kindy. We are hoping that not only current but past families will join us in this project so we can take many Lanterns up to the Residents. The lanterns are easy to make cutting the top off the bottle and using permanent markers or paint to draw on the side. For Lanterns you add sand and a tea light, or for us a picture or card. You are welcome to add your first name and age to the side if you wish and drawings can be age appropriate. We would love your lantern to be part of our project. Lest We Forget. See more

02.01.2022 Huge thank you to Scott and Sharryn MacDougall from Town and Country Cleaning, surprised Teachers at Beck St and OLSCC with a coffee on them. Lovely gesture, thank you!

02.01.2022 Beck Street Kindy is looking for an assistant educator to join our team in 2021. Please apply via Seek. Applications close Friday the 18th of December.

01.01.2022 Ok our Ningana project box is now out the front of Kindy for all contributions to our Ningana ANZAC Day lantern project. If no one is at kindy then the box will be placed inside the first gate. We are hoping for some strong support for this project as our Ningana Buddies have now been shut down for quite a long time and we want to show them our support on this very significant and emotional Day as we Remember. This project is open to anyone who would like to join us, we would love your lantern.
