23.01.2022 Why plastic? Isn't plastic bad? Short answer: I'm not an environmental scientist so I'll leave that to the experts. However, a durable plastic that can be washed and re-used many times, is far better for the environment than single use plastics. Plastic is also easy-care, child-safe and affordable. Many of the items in my kit are pre-owned, either by myself or purchased from op-shops. Some I found on kerbside collection! Good as new after a hot wash in the dishwasher.

13.01.2022 Terms and Conditions 1. Hire deposit and full cost of hire must be paid at least two (2) weeks before hire date. Hire deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the kit in suitable condition (within three business days depending on payment method used). 2. The due date for kit return will be given to you upon booking confirmation. 3. If any of the following occurs, a replacement cost will be deducted from your deposit: a. Missing item/s... b. Broken item/s c. Damaged item/s, including but not limited to: stains from inappropriate use (eg microwave use), scratches beyond normal wear and tear. d. Excess food waste left on items, or other waste mixed in with kit. e. Other issues that would make the item/s no longer suitable for hire kit use. 4. The kit may be delivered to a residential or suitable commercial address within the free delivery area as shown on the Bedford Low Waste Party Kit Facebook page. Kit will not be delivered to an unattended address. Alternatively, the hirer may collect from the Bedford address given on booking confirmation, at an agreed-upon time. At the time of booking, please confirm pick-up/delivery and drop-off/pick-up arrangements. Delivery to other areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 5. When returning the kit, dirty/soiled dishes must be kept separate from decorations and other items that may be soiled by the food waste. Excess food should be scraped from plates/bowls. See more

08.01.2022 It takes more than plates and cups to make a party. As a busy mum of four, I've learned my strengths and weaknesses. Baking is not one of my strengths. If you need sweet treats for your birthday party in the local area, I highly recommend @Cupcakes on Call - Kirsty is based just over in Bayswater and her cupcakes are amazing!
