25.01.2022 Got to love being a part of someone's story. Recently I had the opportunity to shoot a client and help tell their story for their clients. Sometimes that story reveals the unexpected! When I first meet this client I knew they were different. Amazing. No doubt good at what they do! When we started to chat about their story and we got onto the subject of riding, I expected a story about a little #Vespa or maybe asibngle cylinder 2 stroke screamer. ... Wasn't I shocked when this thumping beast was revealed. All 650 cc! Black and polished chrome! I knew it just had to make it into the shoot. Well it did make it into the shoot and I cant wait to give the big reveal either. Now I cant wait to finish restoring my little single cylinder 2 stroke screamer and hit the road! lol #Motorbike #LiveToRide #Freedom #Chrome

24.01.2022 The glamour of location shoots!!! My workspace might not be the greatest but the facilities at Australasian Soccer Academy are amazing. Great staff and athletes. What a great night working with these soon to be superstars of football.

24.01.2022 It seems like ages since I held a camera for any reasonable period of time!! We are still shooting but things have definitely slowed up in recent times, just like everything else. There is a still a whole lot going on the background. Zoom meetings have become the norm. I have enjoyed catching up with other creatives and hear all about their businesses, stories and dreams. Planning and getting ready to come out the other end of Iso is big thing. Really looking forward to new collaborations in the very near future.

24.01.2022 Hiding away in the lighting studio today. Time for a product shoot with the strobes & light box. How is everyone Wednesday going?

23.01.2022 What a busy past 2 weeks weve had. Time for a little bit of down time. What do you do for down time & relaxation? We grab the camera and head out for a #photowalk. Time to hit our happy place the Botanic Gardens at Mt Tomah. Last time I was here it was under threat of being wiped out by #bushfires. Its great to see the gardens survived and are thriving still. ... We even managed to sit and contemplate recent events as we sat in the shade of a #Wollemi Pine watching the #clouds drift by. For today this is our world, social distancing and all. Outside the gardens can hoard and bulk buy. Our little space is calm, serene and happy. Nature is a beautiful place.

23.01.2022 A printed photograph is so much more than a compressed miniature image on a phone screen. The joy you get when you view a piece of artwork is sometimes beyond words, and deserved to be experienced. Read about our recent experience when we printed one of our favourite images.

22.01.2022 What an honour we had on Saturday night! Covering the Heartbeat of Football Inaugural National Soccer League Reunion 2019. So many famous faces and some great tour stories as well. Check out the galleries as we post them, share and tag your friends in the images. Congrats to Andrew & #HoF for a fabulous night.

22.01.2022 Taking these times to upgrade a few of the systems that run behind the scenes. There is more to it than just point and shoot. New External Hard Drives, cloud backups and network upgrades. It's even easier with remote access by Ben from Cre8ive I.T. I can sit here drinking coffee and feet up in ugg boots! lol Think I am starting to like this work from home, apart from the reduced number of shoots!!

22.01.2022 What a fantastic time we had last Saturday night with The Social Serve at The Neutral Bay Club. Check out the gallery to see if we snapped you enjoying the #tennis and the #party. We look forward to catching your all again soo.

22.01.2022 Checking in with our preferred print supplier today. A morning catch up with Kate from Atkins Pro Lab. We got to get hand on with new products and chat about the quality of the products we supply our clients. Thanks for the new knowledge & products. Oh and the coffee too.

21.01.2022 #InsideSport | It's great to see publications covering the lesser known sporting events. A couple of weeks back we had the honour of covering the Australian Veteran's Cricket Over 60's Championships. Check out the coverage by Inside Sport, along with our photos

21.01.2022 What a day!! After a short drive from Sydney to #Dubbo today we finally upgraded our mode of transport. The #Commodore has served us well for about 11 years and 270,000 km!!! It was time to go. Thanks to Neil at Dubbo City #Toyota, we now have a lovely little #Hilux to take us all our new adventures.

20.01.2022 Its been a busy week. Out & about trying to wrap things up before what may still come as far as lockdowns & isolation periods. We didnt get any time to smell the roses this week but we did find this little among the roses. Its a good thing QPG can use long lens when shooting portraits, social distancing is very easy. ... When you zoom in its a very interesting little flower this one. Now I just cant remember the name of it. Any guesses??

20.01.2022 How was your weekend? It was great to get out behind the camera and cover an event. Life is slowly returning to normality. 19.01.2022 We are always looking to explore different ways to expand our photographic education & find inspiration. Today we spent a few hours at a seminar at the Ken Duncan Gallery listening & chatting about different ways to create stronger landscape images. It’s always a pleasure to visit Ken’s gallery & get the creative juices flowing! And also got purchase a print of a favourite image

18.01.2022 My best mate! Sitting here going through photos in the archives, studying old images in an effort to improve and this is what I stumble across. This was one day in our lighting studio, I was setting up and testing the lights and Harley just wouldnt leave me alone. It can be a juggle setting up before a client arrives; placing the lights, testing them, and testing the remote triggers all on your own. So sometimes I throw myself in there to test shoot. Not that many people se...e me in FRONT of the camera! This time around I thought it was time the two of us had a photo session. I'm sure he is unimpressed with the camera and lights too. I soon found out it is another juggle holding him and using remote triggers to get the shot too. So we ended up with only a couple of images. So everyone say hello to Harley, my curly coated retriever

18.01.2022 Wearing our Sporting hat today. On the road shooting for Sydney Thunder. A pit stop before all the action of the afternoon starts.

15.01.2022 Branding is NOT Marketing. Personal Branding is telling your story through images. It's connecting with your audience. We recently had a fantastic time shooting for Kristy from Stylish Scents Florist. We love it when clients use or images. ... Oh and yes, she is our preferred #florist too.

14.01.2022 Well that's the weekend over with. Hope everyone is safe & well. Is anyone climbing their four walls yet? The restrictions around activities and socialising are forcing us to rethink how we do things lately. Plus possibly giving a few people cabin fever too. Do we have any followers stranded on a cruise ship at the moment? This afternoon we managed to get out for some exercise while still social distancing. I still enjoy the outdoors, fresh air and sunlight. I think puppy ...enjoyed to get out too. Sitting down having a bit of a rest after the walk I starting snapping my buddy with the phone camera. As a model he's pretty good. He isnt overly fussy and loves any photo I take of him. Thought I'd post the pic to wrap up the weekend and to brighten everyones afternoon. Stay safe everyone.

11.01.2022 What to do on a weekend? Well when your 7 year old #Apple #Mac decides it doesn't want to work anymore it's time to upgrade! Yesterday I upgraded to a brand new Apple #MacBook Pro. With a new laptop comes all the new goodies and software upgrades too. Remembering software passwords and setups (... that you take for granted) is getting harder and harder these days. LOL See more

09.01.2022 This could be a #GameChanger for creatives. Twitter, Adobe Photoshop & @The New York Times have partnered up to create new technology that will permanently attach creative ownership to images. This could help prevent having images stolen & misused. #Twitter isn’t particularly friendly for creatives but with this added protection (Facebook deletes all metadata claiming the images as their own) maybe this is their fight back, last stand. Twitter also isn’t as censored as #F...acebook, allowing creatives a lot more expression too. #Adobe (and other products) already have the ability to attached information to images, however it is easily removed or altered. By permanently attaching the original creators details could very well be a giant step in protecting creatives rights. See more

08.01.2022 After a lot of reasearch, reading and a couple of minor false starts we have some great news. #QPG is finally printing their own images! Recently we obtained an Epson 4800 Large Format Printer, capable of printing A2 size prints. We often speak about printing out your images to critique them, to learn and simply to enjoy them better, well we can now put our money where our mouths are! Only we can do it more often. Printing at home is a big learning curve but it's also a fa...ntastic and fascinating way to help develop your photographhy skills. We look forward to showing you more of our prints in the future. 08.01.2022 What a feel good event on Saturday. Quarrie Sports Photography covered the Disabled Surfers Association of Australia Collaroy Event. So many Smiles on Dials from everyone involved. We just love the event.

08.01.2022 Introducing QPG! Who and What is QPG? @QuarriePhotoGroup is a One - Stop - Shop for your photography needs. ... It's our parent business to help keep our branding and photography genres together in a simple to find and contact place. As Quarrie Photography we shoot general photography (including photojournalism, events, corporate, personal branding, products) After several years of photography we diversified and started Quarrie Sports Photography. QSP became our go to for sporting related photography (fixtures, competitions, action shots) Keeping up with technology several years ago @QuarrieAerialPhoto was launched! This took us to new heights and perspectives!! lol Over time we found that the three brands were complimenting each other. We were shooting sporting presentations and awards nights; generating aerial photography as product shoots. To get the full overview of what QPG can do for you and your business, company, sports clubs or family jump over to our website and have a poke around: www.quarriephotographygroup.com We invite you to drop us a message and start the conversation about how we can help you. We have so much to offer you.

08.01.2022 Nine years ago today I snapped this photo. As part of #Project365 I had to take & post a photo a day. The theme for this photo was black & white. After 9 years its still a favourite. I can look back now and pick the photo to bits, but as a fledgling photographer I think it was (is) a great photo. Still so much to learn to this day.

08.01.2022 What a night it was. Celebrating the #NSL Reunion with Heartbeat of Football at Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club last week. So many Football celebrities gathering all for a great cause. Check out the who is who in our galleries. Then make sure you check out #Heartbeat of #Football to see exactly what they are about, and how they can help you and your sports club.

07.01.2022 What a #Stadium! Had the opportunity to get on the grass at Bankwest Stadium this morning for a photo shoot. Even managed a guided tour behind the scenes. Some great new facilities there for media in general.

06.01.2022 A weekend spent planning and getting a little creative. We have a few things in the pipeline again .... when dont we? Just to get the mind active and being imaginative we cracked out the Hawaiian shirt on Sunday. Is it a bit too loud? We always start with pen and paper to list and map out our ideas. As they evolve we get bigger and resort to butchers paper and marker pens. Eventually the changes will appear online with new and improved projects. ... I'm really enjoying this new phase of the business. We have some fantastic ideas to launch very soon. Give us a like or a thumbs up to stay in touch with us. You will all be the first to know about our launch when the time is right.

06.01.2022 Happy #EASTER to all our amazing followers. We hope you have a fantastic day and get to at least connect with family and friends. Under these trying times make the most of technology and reach out to family and friends. It's not the same but it's the best solution. ... We hope the Easter #Bunny spoils you all.

06.01.2022 It's always a good feeling to see your work being used by a client. It's even better to be associated with a winning client! Check out some of our photos in this Australasian Soccer Academy Production. We wish all the players well and look forward to our next production with #ASA.

05.01.2022 Life still goes on. Even with the lock down laws we now have, life does not come to an absolute end. We still have lives and businesses to run. Many people & businesses out there are struggling. The car parks & roads are empty. ... While its hard we still need to get on with things. Somethings can not be neglected. Repairs on cars are among them. Which brought me here today. I still need a roadworthy car. Two tyres later and we are back on the road. Keeping the car on the road means I still get to help my clients. We still have content to produce. Like many businesses we have had to adapt to the changes. There are some shoots we have cancelled due to social distancing. The good news is we can continue with other shoots. Weve adapted practices to be able to do product shoots as a starting point. We can maintain social distancing to pick up, Shoot & deliver. Which brings us back to keeping the car on the road. We are fortunate in that our business is adaptable & fairly flexible. In these times we all need to be. If you have ideas or stories to tell we would love to hear from you. If you think we can help you too drop us a message. We are aiming to stay positive and to plan for when this is all over. Stay positive and we will see you all on the flip side. Xpress cafe castle hill #SurviveCovid #QPG

05.01.2022 What a year it has been. 2018 saw a lot of growth for #QPG. We ventured north to the Gold Coast to cover the Commonwealth Games. What an experience that was. Under our other brands we covered many other significant events from bushfires, a wedding (yes, special request), product shoots and model portrait shoots as well. ... We had the opportunity to meet some amazing people along the way. We are thankful for meeting you and to now be able to call many of you friends. 2019 is going to be another big year for us. QPG wish everyone of you and your families and Happy New Year and a GREAT 2019. All the best.

04.01.2022 Saturday afternoon 30+ Degrees for an event. At least we get a cooler sea breeze here. Who’s up for a game of tennis with The Social Serve?

04.01.2022 A great catch up this morning with Kate from Atkins Pro Lab. Great coffee and great conversation about everything photography & printing. To to get hands on with new products. The same products we offer clients.

04.01.2022 Time flies when you’re having fun & keeping busy. While we don’t get to post everything we shoot (clients often want privacy) we still get to take part in some great adventures. Maybe time for another visit to the Ken Duncan Gallery.

03.01.2022 An evening of event photography tonight. Great location. May even try my hand at lawn bowls a little later.

03.01.2022 Did we mention we do event photography? What a fun night we had with Real Entrepreneur Women photographing their end of year awards night. A few drinks and barefoot bowling at The Greens North Sydney. ... Congratulations to all the winers and thanks for having us along.

03.01.2022 Never a truer statement was said about photography. We have attended several workshops with Ken Duncan and we hear his mantra of printing images often. It's something we have taken on our selves. This is why we have added the Epson #Stylus Pro 4900 Printer to our equipment list in our office. ... The joy of capturing a photo in camera, then editing and finally having a physical tangible print emerge from our printer is amazing. Getting to walk around our house everyday to see our work, our accomplishments makes us warm and fuzzy. lol Plus it gets our heads up and out of our phones! How often do you look back at the major events in your life? Do you look at those life events captured on your phone? Do you take pride in your accomplishments everyday because they are hung on your wall or sitting on your desk? Or do you only look on your phone when showing off to friends? The digital world is fantastic but it is robbing us of some of the simple pleasures in life. A physical presence is still justified. And needed! 03.01.2022 Something a little different this weekend. We are off on a #4WD #Photography Workshop. It seems that the #rain has set in for the weekend. Who cares it’s still a weekend away combining two of our loves!

03.01.2022 Merry Christmas to one & all. It’s been a funny year at best but we made it through. We hope you all have a great day today with family, friends and work colleagues. Where ever you are enjoy the day. ... We look forward to a bigger & better 2021.

02.01.2022 What a busy past 2 weeks we’ve had. Time for a little bit of down time. What do you do for down time & relaxation? We grab the camera and head out for a #photowalk. 02.01.2022 Over 30,000 km and 12 months later. This time last year I was on my way to Dubbo City Toyota to trade in the #Commodore for the #HiLux. So many adventures already. Now to hit the road for the day. AGAIN.

02.01.2022 Not quite #Photography but it's still related. With the recent vehicle upgrade (open to debate there!) there is still work to be done to the #Toyota #Hilux! In order to be more self sufficient and to be able to operate remotely we added a second battery system to the car's inventory. This will allow us to run and recharge laptops, camera batteries and even have a couple of creature comforts when working on location or remotely. Recently we have found ourselves getting out ...and about more. We have ventured off road (which is the purpose of a 4WD) where there just isnt ANY electricity!! 01.01.2022 A rainy day outside but a productive day inside. A bit of a challenge today. Setting up a new #Linux based laptop running #Ubuntu Operating System. 01.01.2022 Earlier this year while on our @Trax & Pix Fossicking Adventure we combined our photographic skills of Quarrie Photography and our flying skills of Quarrie Aerial Photography to produce a video for Carinya Station. The drought certainly is taking it's toll on the country, and it continues to this day. In order to remain viable property owners had to reduce their stock, however to keep the remaining sheep alive they have to grain feed them. Watch the video as we join the owne...rs for the morning feeding. Big thanks to Joe & Jacinda the owners and Kris the caretaker for having us for 5 nights at the property. It was a great little get away on a fabulous Farm Stay.

01.01.2022 Hi Guys, just a quick message to you all. Hope you're all well. I know a few followers are currently in isolation and showing effects of #COVID19. I hope it's just the start of the winter flu for you. Feel free to message us if you do want or need to chat. Sometimes the isolation can be the hardest part. The world is still turning despite the environment we are in at the moment. #Covid19 is affecting everyone is some shape, fashion or form.... The good news, and yeah this may be a little bit of glass half full, but the current #pandemic will end. We will come out the other end changed but with some care and thought for the most part we will survive. The world will be different. We will be different. The recovery is going to take sometime once the pandemic is declared over. The recovery and changes need to start now. For us personally, business-wise and family. We are making the most of these quieter times to be working hard in the background with a few changes coming. This, for us, really is one of those 'get lemons make lemonade' moments. We are planning ahead for when times are good, and they will be. The power of positive thought helps at these times. Take the good with the bad. The bad will only last for so long. What's something positive you've experienced in recent weeks during these challenging times? Did a neighbour do a good deed? Maybe you helped the elderly with groceries? Let's get something positive on facebook. No more doom and gloom (my image at the top is enough of that lol ). Stay safe all. We will see you face to face on the flip side.

01.01.2022 Did we say #Christmas? Maybe a little pre-Christmas Product Shoot. What do you sell that needs Professional Quality images? QPG has you covered when it comes to photography. ...
