23.01.2022 The COVIDSafe tracing app is now available for free download. In the absence of a vaccine and widespread testing this is currently our best chance in Australia to help contain any virus spread while increasing our ability to go about our lives with more freedom than lockdown. Here’s the link to download. For it to work we all need to participate ... https://www.health.gov.au/reso/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app Stay well!

23.01.2022 Dental practitioners are doing it pretty tough right now. This graphic is an awesome reminder that you’re not just your work, even though dentistry is a vocation. This time is a fantastic opportunity to learn, to grow, to re-organise your life and your world in new creative ways that will fulfil you more and serve your better into the new normal ... Whatever that will look like! You got this! https://www.instagram.com/p/B_2jM7jBDII/?igshid=4impwl67ac4u

22.01.2022 The challenge of immune-boosting with COVID19. Good article for personal care management do’s and don’t bother.

19.01.2022 Do yourself a favour and watch this doco series. It’s currently free if you subscribe via email. Yes I’m going out on a limb after watching only one episode, but the episodes are only live for 24 hours at this time with a new episode being released daily in a 9 part series. I got put onto it as a well respected acupuncture researcher I follow is interviewed later in the series.... There’s no Pete Evans quackery in sight. This is exactly as I understand health, disease and healing from my experiences and training in both western, eastern and complementary therapies. I’ve tried every technique they mention in this episode in the past successfully. You’ve got nothing to lose but time, and a lot to gain if you choose. Enjoy!

17.01.2022 Let’s turn on the tap to kindness, compassion and patience as cabin fever sets in for us Never before - and probably never again in our lifetime - have we been asked to #stayhome and just chillax. Isn’t it a dream come true!? ... So simple yet so hard! Ironic much? I’m admiring the wonderful creativity flooding the internet and social media right now Stay well! 16.01.2022 Now we’re all settling into #isolyfe at home, creating a daily routine will really help to cope better with these new circumstances. The human body works best when it’s being treated like a well oiled machine: it thrives on regular rhythms. Chinese medicine has its own clock ... A daily cycle of timing of bodily functions and optimal times for activities. I’m going to work through these cycles and explain how to break up the day optimally. Today it’s the hours 5-7: 5-7 is often the changeover period from sleep to wake in the morning and from working to relaxing in the evening. In the morning it’s the time to empty your bowels, drink water - not caffeine - and move your body, increasing your breathing rate for at least 20-30 minutes. This is the time of the large intestine. In the evening it’s the time to sit down to eat, preferably with other people, focussed on de-stressing from the workday and re-energising with nutrients and social interaction. It can also be a time to exercise in a nourishing way that helps to restore energy or even get intimate with a loved one. This is the time of the kidneys. Reckon you could give it a try? #dailyroutine #fivetoseven #chineseclock #lifeblend #befacewell See more

12.01.2022 Current global conditions have brought to mind this very old favourite quote. Use every preventive strategy you know to do your best to stay well right now #herophilus #covid19 #befacewell

12.01.2022 Thanks to Cathy Boyce for having me on her podcast to talk about integrative dentistry and telehealth. We talk face and tongue diagnosis, touch on posture, discuss diet and eating for the seasons like Asian cultures do, along with providing dental care remotely. Check it out:... https://www.buzzsprout.com/836449/4407869

11.01.2022 It was merely a few weeks ago and I was working with an Aboriginal Health Corporation in Tennant Creek, NT. It was my first foray into frontline indigenous health. It won’t be my last. Fascinating work that has reawakened a passion for aspects of dentistry I had forgotten I could be so satisfied by. ... Immersing myself in the local culture and people, including lovely artists like Doris Egan with her painting of bush onions that I now joyfully own. Wishing everyone in Tennant Creek and the Northern Territory well during the COVID19 pandemic. Stay well #tennantcreek #indigenousart #dorisegan #aboriginalhealth #befacewell See more

11.01.2022 The pleasure from new candle feels A beautiful symbol of self care when #WFH This one is ‘The highway is a disco’ from @the_rac_on_teur #supportlocal... I think the hallway from the seconded home office to the lounge room is more of a disco for me right now... But hey, it’s cheap to dream and this candle certainly helps set the scene #selfcare #lifeblend #stayhome #befacewell

04.01.2022 Dentists can once again provide full service care unrestricted, so long as a patient passes the COVID19 screening test. If you’re not sure if you feel comfortable yet about seeking dental care in person, a teledentistry consult is always an option to assess the need and urgency or temporarily manage any pain and discomfort. https://www.ada.org.au/Level-1-Restrictions-Announcement

04.01.2022 This is one of two webinars I’m delivering on teledentistry in the coming week. This one is the longer one - an hour. Join me Thursday evening with thanks to EMS Dental - Australia & New Zealand

02.01.2022 Those in aged care or those with family in aged care would benefit greatly from watching this webinar tomorrow morning (Wednesday) delivered by the head of OPAN
