25.01.2022 Did you know that mental illness is the most common reason people visit their local GP? In line with Mental Health Awareness Month, we are excited to share some fantastic recent results from mental health awareness training course facilitated by the Belgravia Foundation. Throughout August and September, a total of 978 community leisure Centre employees completed the training course to improve their understanding of their own and others mental health. ... Given the current COVID-19 environment, the course served as a fantastic opportunity to explore mental health with one participant citing, ‘This was a great course. It’s always important to discuss and talk about ways to support others. It was also great to understand the importance of how we go about delivering our programs and services.’ Read more about the training course results on our website today at www.belgraviafoundation.org.au *Black Dog Institute.

13.01.2022 Throughout August and September, the Belgravia Foundation worked alongside innovation partner, Belgravia Leisure, to facilitate a free Mental Health Awareness (MHA) training course. The course was offered to all employees across Australia and New Zealand, which enabled up to 5,000+ staff, including many of which who remained in COVID-19 lockdown, an opportunity to inform, train and support themselves to better understand their own and others mental health. Not only did the t...raining enable the individual employees to benefit, but it also had direct carryover to their families, acquaintances and local communities. As shown below, the data analysis collected from the MHA training course revealed some fantastic benefits for employees that undertook the training. The results included an increased understanding of mental health, including an increase in awareness of barriers to physical activity, increased confidence to adapt program sessions, increased confidence in talking to those with a mental health concern and more.
