02.01.2022 Forever grateful. I’ve had 37 years of life that wouldn’t have occurred had it not been for this invention. I would have ‘passed’ at 14. I would not have been married and had my precious 3 children. I would not have had the joy of dancing throughout my life. I would not have travelled the world. I would not have had the opportunity to help so many people throughout my many jobs. I would not have met the countless people I call my friends. It’s a very sobering thought to appreciate that all that I’ve been able to participate in during my life since age 14 is due to the ‘invention’ of insulin. It’s a fucking annoying and bothersome condition but it’s not a death sentence anymore. And for that I am eternally grateful.
