22.01.2022 Hello my bellas, Its with a very heavy heart that I have to officially announce, that I will now be closed for maternity leave for the rest of the year. Due to Covid restrictions, salons will be allowed to open back Oct 26. This date is the same week my little man is due, so I can safely say that I definitely can not take on clients or book clients ahead of time. Im also feeling the full effects of third trimester and have developed carpel tunnel in both hands, which as you... can imagine in my line of work, would be extremely hard to work with, so even if salons were to open sooner, I most likely would not be able to. I was so hoping that I would be able to at least see most of you one last time before little Bello arrived. BUT this is not the end for Bella Gina Beauty what so ever.! I will be back at some point next year, maybe not full time but definitely part! I will keep you all updated as time goes on. 20.01.2022 So Bellas.. Yesterday should have been my first day back in the salon, had we still been on our 6 week stage 3 lockdown... instead, my beauty room was used as a school art room! We got use out of old polishes for the kids rock painting! Putting my nail art skills to the test Didnt quite fill the void of my usual salon vibe, and very safe to say i am missing each and everyone of my clients very much! Thank you so much to everyone who have msgd to see how i am going! Im ab...out to head into my 30th week of pregnancy and baby boy is cooking away amazingly. im now feeling the full effects of the 3rd trimester, im an achey, swollen, sleepless ball of indigestion that is constantly complaining.. and along with the rest of Victoria, is hairy ! Im really crossing my fingers that I will be able to get back to work before my little man arrives, but that window is closing a little more each day.. but im still remaining hopeful. 07.01.2022 Its with a heavy heart that I have to inform everyone that lockdown is back in place which unfortunately means that from tomorrow onwards I will be shut, hopefully only for 6 weeks! Im so sorry to everyone I still didnt manage to see since the last lockdown. I am taking bookings for 6 weeks onwards.. but please take note that in 6 weeks, its not 100% guaranteed that the lockdown will be lifted, but with some miracle that it is, you can have a spot secured! This is a frustra...ting time for everyone ATM and I can only hope that this time around everyone understands the severity of this all, this is a situation when we have to think about everyones well being by following the rules and incourage those we know to follow them as well... these lockdowns are put in place for a reason... our safety! 05.01.2022 Thats a wrap from me Big thank you to my beautiful clients who have been so understanding on why I have had to shut. Just to make this clear, I do understand that beauticians/nail techs havent been asked to lockdown, I dont agree with this and I feel they are playing with fire. We cant practice safe distancing or avoid touching, you are in each others face and touching hands, gloves, mask...its not really a solution. This is my opinion... and trust me I would love nothing more then to continue.. alot of thought has gone into my desicon and at the end of the day the fact remains that i live in a high risk family household...i can risk my own health but I cant risk that of my families. Amongst all our happiness that tomorrow we our out of the first stage of lockdown, its gut wrenching that I can't open up to you all and attend to all the neglect basically this year has been! BUT having said that this next week is also my due date so im beyond excited to be meeting my lil man! 04.01.2022 The envevatable has arrived. I have been prepared for this, unfourtantly Beauty Therapy is a high risk job, I cant practice safe distance and my job is hands on. It is not safe for myself, my family or my clients if I dont follow procedures. It is because of this that I will have to close my doors as of Wednesday 25th March until further notice! Those of you that have appointments and that have not heard from me yet, I will be in touch very soon! Im happy for any client...s who wish to come pick up their file packs tomorrow or tuesday to do so, this way you can at least file your nails and maintain them so they dont break or snap! If you wish to do so, let me know. No one knows how long this will go on, or when I will be up and running again. Please try to understand that this is a hard situation for everybody and you may be upset that your beauty needs may not be attended to & feel the need to get mad, I would love nothing more to stay open as I will be losing my source of income, as will alot in my position, so please be mindful of others & dont let your your frustration get the better of you. I will also tell you to please be vigilant of other business like myself with close client contact and those who are not taking the necessary precautions and to keep in mind of the high risk factor and protecting yourself. We need to be united and follow procedures.. the more of us that do that quicker the quicker this will hopefully be over. My wish is that all my clients and their loved ones stay healthy and safe through this, and prey will be back to our normal lives as soon as possible! Please take care of yourselves and one another. 04.01.2022 IMPORTANT PLEASE READ... Hi Bellas, Ive been putting alot of thought into this panic of the coronavirus. I know that some people are saying the panic is not needed but reality is we do need to be visual of it, espically in the beauty industry. There recently has been a case in Queensland of a beauty therapist having contracted Corona after returning from a trip and now clients that had been to her have been quarantined. Australia has also now had case of person to perso...n contact spreading so we must be extra careful. Quiet frankly, any type of work that is as personal and hands on like a therapist really need to think long and hard about not just their own safety but the safety of their family, friends & clients. For now travel bans in China are still in place, but now it is spreading and its coming from other places that we need to be on alert from. Which has left me with this decision, I know clients have plans to travel or are coming back from traveling, so to make sure the safety of not just my family and myself, I as a business owner have the greater responsibility of the safety of each & every client that walks through my doors each day. So therefore I ask that if you have returned from a holiday that you please wait two weeks before making an appointment with myself upon your return. No one ever knows what will happen nor do people think these things can happen to them but at the end of the day its better to be safe then sorry. This may sound extreme to some but it is a desicon that has had alot of thought to and has not been taken lightly. It is something you all need to take on board if you yourself are in contact with someone who has returned from overseas. 02.01.2022 How are all my Bellas hanging in there? Are we looking like this yet? I have to say.. I have never felt so loved! The amount of msgs Im receiving each day of how many people miss me is overwhelming! I can honestly say, Im not loving my temporary job as teacher atm...much prefer beauty therapy and cant wait to get back into it.. Im sure opening back up will be around the corner.. and by the sounds of it... heaven help me in the mean time my best tips are... if u cant... stand them any longer, pluck your eyebrows BUT dont go trigger happy, just pluck the strays.. please dont try and wax them, its not worth the risk chin and lip waxs once again if u cant handle it then my best suggestion is going to Priceline and buying a hot wax (not strip) microwavable tub and using that for the time being... dont go over more then twice and please be careful of temperature should be like slim consistency not any runnier nails... GEL NAILS DO NOT COME OFF WITH ACETONE the polish will but not the actual nails.. If u still want to keep doing your nails once Im back try and keep your gel on for as long as u can.. I know it will look horrible but its the strenght on your nails we still want, just keep filing them down as they grow so they do not get to long where they will snap. U still may come pick up your files from me so u can keep maintaining them, just let me know as far as the hair on your body... once again if u can live with it till Im back then fine.. otherwise I will understand if i need to shave but please... if u r totally desperate!! Legs and underarms i would be recommend u giving them a go also (hot also) but please.. would not advise any private areas solo. Any other questions please feel free to msg me! As we know salon's are allowed to open back up on 1st June, as much as I would love to welcome back all of u on this date, I unfortunately still have to home school untill 9th June. So I will officially be opening BGB again on Weds 10th June. I also have new working hours, which can be found in the pictures below.... There's a few rules and changes that i will also be putting in to place. I've had to make these changes due to still maintaining safe practice's & for personal reason's.. I ask that u please respect these new changes and keep in mind that it was a hard desicon for me to set these new procedures but thing have changed during this period & that they have been done for good reasons.
