21.01.2022 Thanks for all the positive feedback from my legal costs talk at todays Personal Injury seminar at the Intercontinental at Rialto. Its amazing how many lawyers have queries about the Uniform Law which commenced on 1 July 2015 and how many are potentially not complying with the requirements of what is very much consumer focused legislation.

21.01.2022 Doing some solicitor client legal costing assessment today at Winn Legal in town. Same building as my old criminal lawyer colleague Bernie Balmer! Have a great day everyone

20.01.2022 Are you a client looking for a solicitor? You will most likely be invited to sign a Costs Agreement. Unfortunately, most lawyers get it wrong. BEFORE you sign, Ill check the Agreement for you and make sure youre not paying too much

06.01.2022 Fantastic result achieved today in a misconceived prosecution by the Transport Accident Commission against my client. I have been pointing out the flaws in the case for over 18 months but it was not until the Magistrate did the same in the first 5 minutes of day 1 of the hearing that the TAC was moved to accept a guilty plea to a very low level non-dishonesty charge. A fine of $300 and no conviction, many court mentions and aborted hearings and thousands of dollars of public money wasted. The Magistrate in his sentencing remarks said that the client made an honest mistake. Client and wife are personally ecstatic with the outcome.
