25.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS- URGENT UPDATE This is the latest update regarding COVID 19 sign ins with immediate effect in recognition of current events ...associated with COVID 19 safety. We have been advised that all attendees at Hockey venues must use the EVA Check-in App. This now includes all match participants, players, team officials, umpires, tech officials, spectators (parents and children) - EVERYONE. The reason for this is should Associations, venues and or clubs be required to provide a log of who has attended our facility then we only have an hour to do so or risk a penalty. In many circumstances the use of match cards to record match participants will not satisfy the required timeframe that is allowed. We will still provide pen and paper for spectators that do not have a mobile phone but now must record every member that accompanies the person signing in.
24.01.2022 Hi all, A big update on Fees, COVID Management and Contact Tracing. Getting excited now. https://drive.google.com//1M1RmLThJ4vpobRjbxshSzkcXO/view
24.01.2022 Strikers will provide more information soon. Stay tuned.
23.01.2022 This morning the Government advised that new restrictions would be in place for residents in Ipswich, Brisbane ect. They have also advised that community sport CAN go ahead as long as we have an approved COVID SAFE Plan (which we do - can be found on our website). Please be extra vigilant - follow all signs and instructions, ensure you are checking in and out of the venue. Please help do your bit to keep Ipswich Hockey #COVIDSAFE.
23.01.2022 As the COVID SAFE group works to finalise our COVID SAFE Management & Operational Plans, the Tech Committee plans to meet early next week to try and provide a c...learer picture of what the season will look like on return. At this point in time, we are planning for: - Training to resume from Monday, 13 July -Fixtures to begin weekend 17/18/19 July - Season will be 9 weeks finishing weekend 11/12/13 September - Fixtures will be for points. Format for determining winners e.g. finals/first past the post, will depend on the number of teams and therefore number of weeks required for rounds etc. Given the shortened season, we want to have a format that allows as many teams as possible to play as many games as possible. Watch this space as more information becomes available - please ensure you are in regular contact with your club and coaches to ensure that you are ready to go when the seasons kicks back off.
21.01.2022 Any of our members or families have a ute, trailer or small truck that you can help with to move some club gear from Karna downs area to the hockey grounds?

18.01.2022 ** Attention Andriod smartphone users - EVA Check In app ** Notification of temporary suspension of EVA Check-in Android app from Google Play store The EVA Check-in Android app has been temporarily suspended from the Google Play store due to referencing contact tracing in the store listing... 17.01.2022 With the complex set to reopen on Monday 13 July we are pleased to announce that our Hook in2 Hockey program will recommence on Saturday 25 July and run through until Saturday 12 September. We cant wait to welcome our littlest hockey players back to the grounds!
16.01.2022 Register now please. https://www.strikershockey.com.au/registration/ With less than 1 week to go before the first match, only 21 of 43 Senior women, and only 1 of the senior men has registered.... This makes planning teams impossible - we need to have assurance that we have enough members to complete the teams we nominate to IHA for the competition (not think that we do if everyone signs up who said they will.) Additionally the communication of important information is extremely difficult and time consuming as we need to send info over multiple channels (email, Facebook, text and phone). We implore all players to register before Tue training.

14.01.2022 Calling out to all families of the club, with these new vivid laws we really need some more volunteers, we need more than the people we currently have. If we cant get the help it may mean that some teams cannot take the field. If we can get more people to step up you would probably only need to help for one week. Please let the committee know asap if you can help.... Thanks, Matt George President

One of the committee will be present at all times during the day to advise, guide or run for more supplies - so no experience is neccasary . 10.01.2022 Dont forget to check out of the grounds when you leave - the system will automatically check you out at midnight - but if you checked in at 10am and dont che...ck out it will assume you have been at hockey all day (if a COVID case was to be traced back at eg 4pm- you would need to quarantine even though you say you left at 12pm) #returntoplay #2020seasonchanges #evacheckin #covid19 See more
