21.01.2022 To our Bellevue Podiatry community, We appreciate that there is growing concern within the community regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). It is the collective effort of everyone to ensure we are acting with a sense of responsibility to both ourselves and those around us in an effort to minimise the transmission and impact of the virus. The current recommendation from the DHHS is that only people who have had direct contact with an infected person (within 1.5 meters of the... person for longer than 15 minutes or in the same room for two hours) need to self-isolate and contact their GP, while everyone else is advised to continue regular hygiene precautions. People who present with any symptoms such as flu-like symptoms, sore throat, cough or fever are advised to seek medical attention. If you suspect you may have the coronavirus (COVID-19), please call the dedicated hotline on 1800 675 398. As per the advice from the Department of Health, it is business as usual. As a health service we need to be cautious and protect those who are most vulnerable in our community. Our Practice and staff have always maintained a high standard of infection control and with the current situation we have increased the level of hygiene practices to ensure the best environment for the health of all. This includes: Regular disinfection of high traffic areas, benches, door handles, EFTPOS machine and patient arm chairs Our clinicians will continue their current hand hygiene between patient appointments (5 moments of hand hygiene) as well as wiping down the treatment chair and trolley in between patients. Hand sanitizer at the front desk and waiting room, which we request all patients to please use. Removal of magazines and children's toys in waiting rooms. We kindly ask anyone attending our practice to please: Use the hand sanitizer provided at reception before you see our clinician and after. Reschedule your appointment if you have any flu-like symptoms, sore throat, cough, fever or shortness of breath or have been in close contact with someone confirmed to have the coronavirus. If you are returning from a high risk area overseas, please avoid making an appointment until after the 14 day quarantine period. If you are concerned that you may have the coronavirus there is a dedicated hotline you can call, 1800 675 398. We thank you for your understanding and hope that all of our clients and their friends and family stay safe and healthy.
