25.01.2022 Dear Club Delegates COVID-19 Safety Plan: We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in relation to the COVID-19 safety plan. Unfortunately there are still a small number of people who are not complying with the directive in regards to spectators. We would ask that you remind you members only 1 parent/carer is currently permitted to attend the hockey complex if they have an U18 person playing hockey.... Duty: We would like to remind clubs we need duty teams to arrive at least 15 mins before the start of games and that only O18 people are permitted to do duty. Please ensure your members who are allocated to do duty are aware of these requirements. Games: The board has received complaints about games starting before players are ready. In the interest of providing and maintaining enjoyable games for everyone and moving forward; We would like to ask that all players and team officials be reminded of the need to be ready and on the pitch prior to the start of games (not just at the beginning of each match but at each period/quarter). At quarter time it is highly recommended players don't leave the pitch (as there is only 2 mins), more time (5 mins) is available at the half time break. We would ask you to have your team officials assist with this, encouraging players to be ready on the pitch. Umpires have been advised to blow a 2 minute warning to players prior to the start of the match and be in position themselves ready to start. Further communications will come out to all members next week. Thank you again for your assistance and cooperation with these matters, this is most appreciated and will provide for more enjoyable games for everyone. We must operate the BBQ from 9:00am to 4pm. We are needing 4 people from each club for each time slot. These people (must be over 15), wear gloves, masks, covered shoes, hair tied back and be in clean clothing. 06.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation over the past few weeks. We are now pleased to be able to advise members that as of 26 September the restriction of 1 parent/carer per child in junior sport will be removed and spectators will be permitted to attend senior games effective from this weekend. Physical distancing protocols of 1.5m apart etc must be followed. No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the complex. Attendance registers must b...e kept (QR Code or sign in). Sanitising or washing hands on entry to the facility is required. Shared travel arrangements such as car-pooling, along with social gatherings before and after the games is discouraged. Spectator stands, player dugouts and drinking bubblers will remain closed. Showers are not permitted to be used. Our COVID Safety plan is currently under review and we will provide further updates once this has been approved by Hockey NSW and Coffs Harbour City Council.
