24.01.2022 The most dangerous thing you can do in life is play it safe Never forget, it isn't the risks we take in life that we regret, it's the ones we never took that haunt us more. Never let an opportunity for a great adventure or a great story to slip between your fingers. ... @bellsbeachbackpackers See more

08.01.2022 Moody vibes at Cosy Corner thanks to epic photographer @cwgxposures

08.01.2022 Just a little fun in the sun Last week at Point Addis, some of our Crew got out for a beach day and lapped up the sun at their 'secret' beach! (And, a few cheeky drinks ) Now, the secret beach hey!? NOT for the faint hearted. But, here's the tea ... head over a few rocks, round the corner to the right from the base of the Point Addis Beach steps and through a cave and come out the other side to a place where few go. And, wallah' awesome secret beach. ... You're welcome Can't wait to see you soon Melbs' and Morn' Pen' But, for now, we are LOVING having you REGIONAL Vic See more

06.01.2022 It has the title of the 'Surfing Capital of Australia', but, what has it really got other than a nice beach or two? Is it all just some unjust-hype? Read on and decide for yourself if the place 1.5hours from Melbourne is really all it's 'cracked up to be'...

06.01.2022 It’s that time of week again! #greatoceanroadgems coming at you with number three on our EPIC list! #3 Southside Beach + Lookout! Just a quick 10minute drive from Central Torquay, you'll find the great all-rounder beach, on the outer edge of Torquay and part of the 'Bells Headland'.... Southside is a beautiful, large and secluded piece of the world, complete with an exposed reef and point break, making it a truly great surf spot all-year-round! And, if you're not up for watching or partaking in a surf - you can also work on your best tan with this beach being one a few TOTALLY LEGAL clothing-optional beaches on the Surf Coast. Now, if that's anything - that's a fun fact hmm The lookout itself showcases views as far as the eye can see including lush bushland, sandy shores and marbled waters. Our top tip for any day of the week is to either park your home on wheels at the top for a beautiful sunrise/sunset OR to drop down to the beach and have yourself a perfect little beach picnic! Cheers for reading along and don’t forget to follow along for more of our weekly GOR gems! @bellsbeachbackpackers Fab photo by: @dashcurve3228 See more

06.01.2022 Did you know that we not only have fabulous branded-merch but we also have for sale seriously FUNKY stuff? ... Some of our favourites include these gorgeous, hand-crafted, boho AF side-bags with all the trimmings: tassles, bright colours, beads and loads of crazy patterns! Check them out on your next stay and add some style to your clothing ensemble.

05.01.2022 Melbourne! Just 2 sleeps to go! We can’t wait to welcome you back! What better place to start your Great Ocean Road adventure than with us in Torquay (quietly ‘Australia’s Surfing Capital)!? 1.5 hours from Melbs and from as little as $30 a night FREEEDOM feels salty-sweet doesn’t it!?

05.01.2022 It’s that time of week again! #greatoceanroadgems coming at you with number eight on our EPIC list! #8 Split Point Lighthouse - #splitpointlighthouse Have you ever. Ever felt like this? For all you non-Aussies out there, this lighthouse is where our all time favourite kids show Round the Twist was filmed and it brings back all the 90s nostalgia. But even if you’ve never seen the show (watch it, watch it now!) you’ll still have a brilliant time exploring Split Point L...ighthouse and taking in those banging 360 degree coastal vista views. Perched on the cliffs of coastal hamlet Aireys Inlet (30 minutes from Torquay) the White Queen as she is affectionately known is still a working lighthouse and is easily recognised by her red hat. You can tour the building and learn about the history of the area or wind your own way up the 135 steps to the top. The viewing balcony goes all the way around the lighthouse so you get some stellar views down the rugged Shipwreck Coast. Just be careful, it gets incredibly windy up there. There are some beautiful walks around the area and some gorgeous Tea Rooms where you can grab some lunch or a scone before you get back on the road. Our top tip is to keep your eyes on the water. If you’re lucky you might just spot a pod of whales or dolphins! Cheers for reading along and don’t forget to follow along for more of our weekly GOR gems! @bellsbeachbackpackers Photo by: @geoffotway See more

03.01.2022 If 2020 was all about hyper-local travel (*cough* travelling to our backyards) what will 2021 bring? If the past year has taught us anything, it’s to cherish every second spent travelling because you never know when it might be your last budget flight or bumpy bus ride. Even if you're not a New Years Resolution maker (or keeper!) you'll want to jump on the bandwagon when you hear how good ours are. ... https://www.bellsbeachbackpackers.com.au//all-the-travel-r

03.01.2022 Summer, so close you can almost taste it

01.01.2022 Adios amigo! We’d like to thank our beloved Nick for his time working in our crew this summer Nick has been rolling with us at Bells for 18months now as a guest turned crew member, and what a pleasure it has been!? Nick first came to Bells’ to visit his newfound-cousin Courts (aka part time manager/content creator of Bells’) for the first time back in 2019! Having never stayed in a hostel, naturally he was hesitant about it - I mean WE ALL KNOW what a bad rep hostels ca...n have as some aren’t so proud of cleanliness or are not so inviting... let’s be honest so was it any surprise that he was pleasantly assured with his first time!? Nope, and it didn’t take long for Nick to start coming more and more whenever he had a chance and [legiiiit] jumped at the opportunity to work with us AND Courts! Nick has moved on for the meantime, as he is now attending Deakin Uni 15mins away in Warun Ponds andddd studying marine biology (a 360 from criminology/cyber security as initially intended- let’s say the coast inspired him )! We are pretty confident we will be seeing Nick with us again in the summer for more #hostellife fun Thank you for being such a fun, kind and approachable member of the team for our guests. AND for being a serious attention-to-detail-kind-of-guy with the cleaning We love you buddy, til’ next time and good-luck @bellsbeachbackpackers

01.01.2022 What’s so good about the Great Ocean Walk? Our long time crew member - Mel - has made a short but breathtaking vid’ showcasing the beauty you can expect when walking along Victoria’s Surf Coast
