25.01.2022 WE ARE COMING TO EKKA!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION Ekka cattle exhibitors who live in the border zone are advised that they can attend the Royal Queensland Show and exhibit their animals if they have not been in a COVID-19 hotspot outside of the border zone, in the preceding 14 days. Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young has confirmed that border zone residents may enter Queensland and show their animals at Ekka as it falls under a permitted purpose category.... This means that those exhibitors living in the border zone can travel to the show but can only remain in Queensland for the time necessary to carry out their permitted purpose, (animals to be judged). They then must return home after the completion of the cattle competitions and parades from Sunday afternoon August 11 Please be advised, that this applies ONLY to those border zone residents who have not been in a COVID-19 hotspot outside of the border zone for the previous 14 days. Any border zone resident who has been to COVID-19 hotspot in the previous 14 days CANNOT enter Queensland to participate in activities at the Ekka. For further information please refer to the Border Restrictions Direction (No.30)

22.01.2022 If a heifer could write a book, I am sure Welbatch 814's, (now owned by Bellview) story would be an interesting read. She won a strong heifer class at the National youth show and not many heifers can say she was a part of the winning combination of the first round of the Open Campdraft at Mallanganee (Marcus McCormack) and now she has delivered a beautiful heifer by Dangarfield Bernborough
