18.01.2022 What’s on your self care list this weekend? #bemindsmart

18.01.2022 Keep standing up, even if you rest for a while before you do. Enjoy your day.

18.01.2022 Swimming is great for your mental health. Swimming releases endorphins. Our nervous system produces endorphins to help us manage pain and/or stress. Swimming is good for physical health, which supports good mental health.... Swimming can be meditative and mindful, and surrounds you with the tranquility of water. The colour blue is said to have a calming effect. Swimming can be a social activity, and it promotes connection. Swimming is inclusive as it suits all ages, all fitness levels, is accessible and affordable.

13.01.2022 Don’t be so hard on yourself. Research shows that always aiming for ‘perfect’ can actually lower your performance AND drag your self esteem down in the process. Have a great Tuesday

07.01.2022 Mondays. Great practise for tolerance.

04.01.2022 So what are you going to create this week?

03.01.2022 Happy St Patrick’s Day! In Irish mythology, there is a powerful sea God who has a horse that can gallop over the sea without touching the water, without getting wet. Therapy isn’t like that.... I totally understand that you would not want to talk about, be around, entertain thoughts of, stuff that makes you uncomfortable. It makes sense. But sometimes, what makes sense isn’t necessarily the optimum way. I know it’s counterintuitive, but sometimes you have to get up close to the stuff that bothers you. Until it doesn’t. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
