25.01.2022 Tis the season for wildflowers on the high plains of Victoria's High Country. Silver snow daisies can be found reaching for the sun across the Alpine National P...ark, including around Falls Creek, Mt Hotham and Mt Buffalo at this time of year. Happy summer solstice! 24.01.2022 After months and months of us asking Andy Meddick to put one foot forward re the Brumbies here it is. Dont forget folks we have Andy to thank for the erosion of civil liberties. He sold out Victorians many times during lock down. Siding with the Dan and making Dirty deals along with the Greens and Fiona Pattern. He hasnt been doing much re the Brumbies at all until it is now known they are being hunted and shot.

23.01.2022 Maybe the last footage of the King of the Brumbies Ken Connley right at the end of this wonderful insight to the strength of our neighbours, the Buchan community after devastating bush fires.

17.01.2022 What a magnificent day! It was incredible to meet our new team of Drovers and share the Power of the Horse with you all.......and of course a big welcome back t...o one lady who keeps delighting us with her passion for horses and cattle. From the weather, the company, and the experiences, our day was perfect. Thank you for making the journey to Remount and sharing your time with us. It is indeed a privilege to spend some time in the saddle with you all and seeing your determination is inspiring. Please come back again.

10.01.2022 That's Charlie Lovick sending Dollar up in front of Harrison’s Homestead, during open-to-the-public celebrations the morning following the world premiere of... The Man From Snowy River. Dollar played the brumby stallion in the film. He was initially trained by U.S. horse trainer Denzil Cameron, who had to return home before filming finished. Prior to leaving, Denzil taught Charlie how to keep the training on Dollar. Charlie was Master of Horse on the film. Harrison’s Homestead" was the main film set on Snowy. It was designed and constructed by Leslie Binns on Charlie Hearn's farm at Merrijig which afforded a terrific view of Mt Buller & Mt Timbertop and the ranges beyond. After the film’s premiere at the Star Cinema in Mansfield on the night of 20 January 1982, festivities continued the next day at the Homestead set. Then Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser, was among those present. Just forward of Charlie’s face in the crowd behind is actor Tony Bonner (played Kane in the film). To the left & slightly forward of Tony is local identity and contributor to the film, Jimmy Hughes.

05.01.2022 *Good news the brumby been spote few weeks ago. All good Any news about this brumby? Photo was taken after the December January fires that he survived. Don't know if he escaped the cull.

04.01.2022 Years ago we used 100s of Brumbies on Stations up in the NT ,It's such a shame that Motor Bikes and Choppers took there place, You would get a cleaner muster an...d it was easier on stock ,If only Stations and farms would convert back to those days most Brumbies would get a home, You see a lot more of a horse, See more
