15.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE Dear Bendigo Christmas Concert family and friends, It is with a heavy heart, we announce that the 2020 Bendigo Christmas Concert has been cancelled.... The Bendigo Christmas Concert has been a spectacular community event, bringing joy and festive fun in a safe and interactive environment since its inauguration in 2015. Every year, we continue to grow and adapt in order to bring the community of Bendigo the very best Christmas entertainment that they deserve. This year has been no exception, with our team of business and volunteer partners exploring every possible option in hopes of bringing you this event in a responsible manner, and some much needed festive cheer. In light of the ongoing health concerns, ever changing landscape and uncertainty surrounding the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus, and considering the size and scale of the event, we are unable to bring the Bendigo Christmas Concert to life this year in a safe and responsible way. We know this news will be disappointing for many, and you can trust us when we say that we are disappointed too. I can assure you that a lot of work, sweat and tears have been put into trying to get this years event off the ground. As you know, the Bendigo Christmas Concert is not only an event that brings the community together, it is also a charity event with all proceeds being donated to our beneficiary partner: Bendigo Health Foundation. Over the five years that this event has run, we have seen more than 5,500 audience members attend, and over $43,000 donated - a figure we are proud to stand behind. Due to the cancellation of this event and many others this year, the Bendigo Health Foundation will see a deficit in donations. Now, more than ever, we urge you to continue to support the Bendigo Health Foundation Christmas Appeal in any way you can. We encourage everyone to follow them on social media and keep an eye open for the ways that you can give back to the wonderful healthcare heroes that have kept us safe during the crazy year that has been 2020.
