23.01.2022 The SSBC would like to convey our sincere condolences to the family and friends of John Bergman, who tragically lost his life last night. While I personally did not know him very well, he was always very friendly to me and seemed like such a good natured person, and I know he was well liked in the 8 ball community. His cousin has set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses at https://gofund.me/d95a976a if anyone would like to help.... Rest in peace John, you will be missed by many.

21.01.2022 Return to play update: Tomorrow night sees the return of competition for B-Grade snooker with Golden Square Gold taking on VRI at the Golden Square Working Man's Club in their Preliminary Final. We wish both teams the best of luck in their match! Thursday night sees the return of A-Grade competition, with the final round matches taking place as follows:... - Castlemaine vs Sandhurst @ Castlemaine - VRI Blue vs VRI Gold @ VRI - Golden Square vs Eaglehawk @ Golden Square A reminder to all players that masks are mandatory as per the current restrictions imposed by the Victorian Government, unless you have a medical exemption. Penalties for teams/members may apply if this is not followed Best of luck to everybody, let's see if we can finish out the season without another lockdown!

16.01.2022 SSBC has announced it's teams for the 2021 snooker season as follows: A Grade: Shane Preece (c)... Jim Brennan Chris Elston Kym Busby (vc) Josh Sleeth B Grade: Des Dickson (c) Greg Smith Rob Rossiter Frank Tout Glenn Turnbull Cecil Lawrence B-Grade will commence on Tuesday 9th Feb followed by A-Grade Thursday 11th Feb. It will be great to get some snooker going again after nearly 12 months. Good luck to all and let's have some fun.

13.01.2022 Here are some times we will be open for the next couple of weeks. Friday 6th July 10am-4pm, Sundays from 12pm till late, Thursday 12th & Friday 13th 10am-4pm. 11.01.2022 The SSBC A-Grade team would like to thank Golden Square Working Men's Club for the use of their facilities tonight for competition, saving us from a slow roast!!

06.01.2022 Thursday night was a cold one in the shed, but the action on the tables was red hot. There were plenty of jokes had and some great support from the crowd. Finally it was the team of Glen, Willy, Adam, and Jarvis who took out the Snooker grand final. We will be celebrating their win next weekend at our guest/open day. Come along and enjoy the lunch and social game.

04.01.2022 What a great day! We had all of our 7 tables being used today. Some new faces and fun games. We will now as a club be open every Sunday from 12.
