16.01.2022 As I was working on this painting "Virtuoso" Lester Young - think early 1940's Slinky Sax Jazz - was playing in the distance. The brushwork became a gesture, an improvisation. I wanted to leave the purity of the gestures intact. I hope you like it. Oil on canvas. 102x198cms. It's framed & one of the very last available for sale from this series.
14.01.2022 At last I have found the perfect studio/exhibition space to paint in. In the first week of October. I'm moving to a two story space on the Pacific Highway in Crows Nest. The street level is an elegant gallery to exhibit the new paintings, with a full glass street frontage and great exposure. And the second level is perfect as an artists studio where I'll produce the paintings. I plan to have regular exhibitions of my work there, so please PM me if you would like to be include...d in the the 'A List' for the opening. I am looking forward to also holding wine receptions and art classes. See more
