15.01.2022 Like many Australians, we have also been monitoring the COVID-19 situation across the world, and within our country and state. In times like this, the best option is to stay safe! As a result, in the past few weeks, weve changed how were treating our patients. 1. We will not allow anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days into the clinic, regardless of the country you visited! This is for the safety of our staff members and the community. If you have been overseas a...nd have recently returned in the last 2 weeks, you should be in self-quarantine and self-isolation at home! 2. We will also not accept anyone who is presenting or experiencing symptoms such as a fever, coughing, sore throat and fatigue (please see the attached image for more symptoms). Again, this is for the safety of our staff members and the community. You too should be in self-quarantine and self-isolation at home! (Should you need medical assistance, CALL your local GP or healthdirect on 1800 022 222) 3. We are implementing Social Distancing measures and have reduced our capacity. That means we are treating no more than 1 patient per hour. With up to 2 staff members on hand, we will have no more than 3 people in the clinic at the same time. 4. To reinforce our Social Distancing measures, patients will also have at least 1 - 2 empty treating rooms between them and the next patient. This is for your safety and the safety of other patients. 5. Our cleaning process has and always will be a thorough cleaning process. We regularly use anti-bacterial cleaning sprays and fresh paper towels to clean all high-touch surfaces such as the treatment beds, headrests and furniture in the waiting area. Our staff members wash their hands with anti-bacterial soap regularly and after tending to each patient. With the lockdown in place, we are open as physio services along with other healthcare and allied healthcare services are considered essential to the community. There will be a reduction in operating hours - please check our FB page or Google for updates in operating hours. Please call us if you would like to book, cancel or change an appointment. Thank you Stay safe and keep well - Berala Physiotherapy
