19.01.2022 Ok Ok so I haven't been here for a while what with golf family gatherings hobbies etc etc but I am still a celebrant, celebrating anything at all, anyone got a wedding planned and need a celebrant well its probably going to be me. Weddings , naming days, renewal of vows, any special occasions at all. You name it we can do it ( within reason )

18.01.2022 Well since the changes to the legislation for same sex couples to be married, I have had to re advertise myself as a religeous celebrant because of my beliefs, and since most couples when looking for a celebrant read only the first few words and notice that I am a religious celebrant and even though I can and do perform Civil ceremonies they see the word "religious" and look for someone else. Funny didnt happen before, so since then I have had no enquiries and so once my registration is due in June I will apply for de registration...Sad but cant afford to pay the registration and OPD fees when no $ are coming in I have enjoyed the opportunity of being able to write and perform weddings for many couples, but if my situation changes I will carry on

12.01.2022 What is the "salt ceremony" ? Years ago in the middle east men carried salt in their pockets, not only for dehydration but also to settle contracts...? You may ask? I Don't understand!! Well in those days there were no written contracts, but men, when they agreed upon a contract or commitment, or to be exact, a covenant, a promise to each other they would each take a pinch of salt from each others pockets and place that pinch into their own pocket, it was said that if each an...d every single piece of salt could be separated, and then returned to it's rightful owner, then and only then could this contract or covenant be broken... Somewhat impossible, here is what love is. Salt, like Love itself, savours, flavours, enhances and protects, and if each grain of salt/love can be returned to its rightful owner then and only then can this promise of love, commitment, or this covenant can ever be broken.....mmmm somewhat hard to live up to when in these days of the "world" as it is, love can be superficial with no meaning. God is love, and my covenant with him will never be broken, though I may make many mistakes, He forgives me and loves me and does never count the salt, or even looks for it. He sees me as I am, created in His image. 2015 I will make a change to try and find those little pieces of salt which may have been lost, whether in the wind, dropped or just lost, or even forgotten about. 10.01.2022 During the last week I had the honour of celebrating the life of Audrey Pittard a lady who had made such an impression upon her family and friends before she passed away, that the memories and wishes shared were very heart felt, words expressed were from the heart and she will be forever remembered... 09.01.2022 Well another exciting wedding coming up on Saturday 8th, always enjoy writing the ceremonies for and getting to know the couples their families and friends. Getting the couples involved in one of the biggest days of their lives, encourage them to include friends and family within the ceremony and also to help write their own vows. However some need a little help and help is what I'm there for, whether it's an idea, a poem, a song or what ever it may be for them to get ideas to make their day special to them. I am a part of the day they dream about, get excited about and want to make their day so memorable, special and unique to them Love is The Key

07.01.2022 Last weekend went to Melbourne looked at caravans with Malc & Janene on Saturday and spent Sunday at an amazing wedding In Baxter, just happened to be the celebrant for another nephew Brent and his beautiful wife Tasha, amazing and unique wedding even the cake was a tad different... how you may ask?... Well it was cheeses!! Yep cheese, made up of 3 layers of cheese, picnic baskets etc etc Thanks guys for an awesome weekend

06.01.2022 wow what a week so far, each week just seems to get more exciting than the last, does this mean I cant remember the last? or is it true? and it's not over yet!!! Spent the weekend with close friends discussing caravans and Thailand, then BBQ, then BBQ with more friends family and students, then Paul arrives, really exciting we haven't seen him in 20 or so years, so much to catch up on but he's family and there's that love and blood connection, life goes on from here, new life, new future, new dreams..... thankyou Jesus, and blessings to all family here there and everywhere

No matter where a couple decides to marry it's the love that matters, whether it rains, pours, lightning, storms, too hot, too cold, too loud, too quiet, it's the love that matters and the day whatever it brings is your special day, intimate, exciting, memorable, and because it's you, it is unique. Some may say I want a wedding... just like ........... but if it was just like ....... it would'nt be yours. So make that day unique, special, loving using all the ideas, family , pets whatever just make it yours. I have been able to marry a couple who used their dogs to bring the rings, and guess what? not a problem, no accidents, no running away, it was just what they wanted and made it their day Go for guys make it your special day. 03.01.2022 The Leis or kahoa's ( around their necks) were presented to them by Tasha's grandfather Kerry, as to welcome them into eachothers families, then the parents were also presented with kahoas by their new son and daughter in law... Very nice. It makes families that little bit bigger and also makes this world just that little bit smaller and nicer

03.01.2022 Havent been here for a while and yes it's nice to be back! Hoping everyone had a wonderful Chrissy, and also have a great, prosperous, interesting, faith building, friend finding, people greeting, God loving healthy 2015. Went to Sydney on boxing day, great trip, but was told our destination was only 2 hours south of Sydney...NOT more like 3-4 hrs, saw the fireworks in Sydney live. yep we were there, went fishing and just had a nice relaxing time ...apart from getting some sort of stomach bug. now just chillaxing and sorting out future things in 2015
