We worked on #supernovaleftovers quilt and #reproductionbeautyblocks Chris always makes learning the brain teasing foundation paper piecing so straightforward and enjoyable and it’s worth it because the technique is so effective!Thanks for coming everyone. 22.01.2022 Good morning everyone! We are adjusting to our new routines! Kids at home online schooling and me or the staff manning the phones at the shop each morning. Usually 10 to 2ish weekdays for phone orders. Weve had some fun tasks like this one. Alison wanted some new Freespirit fabrics to spice up her stash of Kaffes. 19.01.2022 I bet youre not surprised to read this! Weve limped along this week but its time to beat a retreat. Ill be having my first full weekend at home since I cant remember when. Ill sew, read & play board games with my family. It will be lovely but not quite how I would have planned it. After a bit of a regroup over the weekend, Ill attend to any phone or web orders on Monday. If youd like anything that isnt listed in our webshop, phone the store and leave a message or email us. 17.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Here is another update around COVID-19 related changes to our normal operation at Berry Quilt & Co. CLASSES AND GROUPS: As of today we are cancelling all our regular classes and groups as part of the Dept of Health recommendations to avoid group situations. Any payments that have been made for groups or classes will be credited towards classes when they resume. This is regrettable but it is so important to do everything we can to slow the spread of the virus. RE...TAIL STORE: Our retail store is closed tomorrow 24th March as usual for a Tuesday. We are currently planning to re-open for retail as usual on Wednesday 25th March at 10am. However this is dependent on restrictions that may be put in place by the authorities. Stay tuned to this feed for any changes or special arrangements around how to access the store. A shout out to Sheena Chapman @sheena_chapman for her block in this message.

11.01.2022 The Fabulous Denise Griffiths teaches her wildflower techniques approximately once a quarter here at Berry Quilt & Co! Over the last few years the girls have made some amazing pieces! Either small wallhangings or much larger compositions with many many flowers. The Gum Blossoms are a great one to start with if you're keen to dive into Denises 3D wildflower techniques. 09.01.2022 I recently upgraded my EQ7 to #EQ8 quilt design software and I really love the new interface! I’ve always known how powerful this program is and how it could help students visualise their designs but I’ve never spent enough time at it to share. So recently I set about making time to brush up my skills by drawing up a little teaching quilt I had made for the shop early on in covid. I managed to draw it up and import the actual fabrics used too! How fun is that!? Can you tell t...he real quilt from the EQ design?? If you have EQ7 or EQ8 and would like to restart, brush up OR join an EQ group here in Berry OR if you don’t have it and are interested in a quilt design service ..? Get in touch. 06.01.2022 Yes despite the covid related uncertainty we are running our Two Day Lynne Wilson @lynnehqw class this weekend!! AND there are even a couple of places left!! Called Perfect Blocks, in class you have the chance to concentrate on beginning a full quilt: Crossroads, Gridlocked or Origami OR you could work through a number of different blocks trying out different techniques. Perfect Pineapples, Star Gazing or the hot off the press Dancing Windmills OR pick one block to just enjoy all weekend and work towards a whole quilt. We will be open 10am-2pm for collection. We will not be open to the public for browsing. This is an unusual time for us as it is for everyone but we ask for your patience, while we attempt to protect ourselves and you from any virus spread. Additionally we have had to make the decision to cancel all classes and groups into the foreseeable future to comply with group meeting restrictions. This is regrettable but necessary.
