07.01.2022 Everyone’s done 21’s with a bicep curl but what about with other movements?? This shoulder complex involves 3 movements of 8 reps working the lateral head of the deltoid(side shoulder) through the mid range, long range and short range. Starting with cable side lateral raises (mid range) completing 8 reps then taking a big step sideways which as you can see increases the range of motion and stress placed at the bottom of the movement (long range) finally using a dumbbell a...nd a 1 and 2 1/4 rep method to create extra stress at the top of the movement or in the shortened position. I would use this at the end of your shoulder day or push day after your heavy compound movements to push the deltoid to failure. Give it a go and let me know what you think!
03.01.2022 Why add chains? Adding chains to the bar allows the weight/resistance profile to change throughout the movement. For example in this bench press, with chains added to the bar, as more chain gets lifted off the ground it makes the weight heavier at the top/contraction and lighter at the bottom of the movement as more chain lays on the ground. This means I was able to overload the muscle at the hardest point being the contraction. ... This technique can be done with resistance bands! 03.01.2022 Some days just aren’t your day. Motivation comes and goes. Today I hit snooze on my alarm 3 times. I got up late and felt like giving up. Work stress and general life stress just seemed too much and I just wanted to stay in bed. ... But then I took my preworkout like I always do, went to the gym like I always do. It’s my routine. I had an amazing workout and felt a million times better. Think about it....There’s 168 hours in a week, you should be sleeping around 8 hours a night so that leaves 112 hours. If you go to the gym for ...1 hour x 5 days that’s means your burning calories for 5 hours a week. But that leaves you with 107 hours a week of potential calorie burning movement in a week. That’s over 20x the time you can spend burning extra calories. . So this means if you are looking to lose weight get up move!
