24.01.2022 Cricket Victoria has updated the roadmap for the return of community cricket following the announcements from the Victorian Government yesterday.

22.01.2022 CRICKET IS COMING Use of Cricket Nets. This morning (Tuesday 29th September) the Victorian Premier confirmed that under the Second Step in the roadmap for Metro Melbourne, cricket nets can be opened for public use.... This doesn’t mean training can start, but the community (including cricketers) can use public nets in their area (see details below). Under 2nd Step Metropolitan Melbourne No training sessions can commence. A household (or up to 5 people from 2 households) can meet outdoors for exercise or recreation for up to 2 x 1-hour sessions per day within 5km from home / work. This includes using cricket ovals and nets. People using the nets should sanitise hands before and after use, avoid sharing any personal equipment and avoid touching the nets (or communal stumps / bins etc.). Masks can be lowered or removed when actively bowling (especially pace bowling) and encouraged for use whilst batting (but lowered to under the nose if causing a dangerous visibility risk under a helmet).

19.01.2022 Hi all Current update...... Further to the State Government's lifting of some restrictions today we are awaiting direction from Cricket Victoria and the DDCA. It appears that sanctioned training may be able to commence in some form as of midnight November 1, but not earlier.... We will also need to gain council permission to use the grounds, cricket nets, and pavilion (probably at a later date), once the government has authorized a start date. This may take a few extra days. Please bear with us as we are trying as hard as we can to get everyone back on the park and training as quick as we can, but these decisions are out of our hands. This means that unfortunately there is NO change to the current direction that NO club sanctioned training can commence. We urge you all to continue to follow state government guidelines and rules with regard to staying COVIDSafe. We are nearly through this second wave, and all things going well we’ll be back to playing cricket, albeit with a few limitations and restrictions, by the end of November, early December. Once we know more we will provide updates to suit. Thank you Berwick Springs CC Committee.

19.01.2022 Hi all As I’m sure everyone is aware it’s been a very difficult year financially for most businesses, with plenty facing major financial stress. This has impacted on us as a club as the majority of our sponsors are hospitality based. The usual social functions, fund raisers, canteen and bar funds, etc will no doubt be limited or non-existent this season. We also will face additional costs due to Covid safe measures put in place like hand sanitiser stations, signage and addit...ional cleaning. The costs we face as a club stay pretty similar to any other season with regard to cricket balls, ground maintenance and rental, utility costs, etc. We have applied for several small grants that have been made available which will in some way cover a few costs but in reality we will be short of where we ultimately need to be. What this means for us is that we are unable to reduce our registration fees, we have however, managed to cap most at the same levels as last season. We trust you understand and appreciate the situation we are in, which will be similar across the board for most sporting groups this season. As usual though, we are always available to discuss individual cases of hardship direct with members, as we recognise how important for this season more than ever it is to stay connected. We will be finalising and sending out our fee structure in the coming days. We thank you for your support BSCC Committee See more

If you would like to order clothing please print out the order form included and fill out the relevant details and send back to us via email at [email protected] along with making payment in full via bank transfer to our bank account details shown on the order form. Please have your order submitted via email to us no later that 1st November, and payment made in full. Any orders received after that date will not... be accepted. Unfortunately due to the Covid pandemic we will not be able to have in person clothing try-ons, the sizing is as per normal sizes i.e. size 8 through to 16 and XS through to as large as you want. If you are ordering the one day/training tops please also include the name and number you would like to have on the back of your shirt. We expect to have the playing whites ready by the start of the season, but all other items of clothing will be approximately 6 weeks from when we place the order on our supplier. If you have any queries please give Grant Hillman a call on 0425 735 908, or send him an email to [email protected]. Thank you BSCC Committee See more

16.01.2022 Update from Cricket Victoria Please find attached the latest COVID 19 Peak Body update. It is imperative that no club should be conducting organised training in any way, you must adhere to the Government regulations (no more than 5 people and only from 2 households). Cricket is getting closer and we don’t want to jeopardise the start of the season in anyway. Cricket in a Pandemic is a privilege not right... Thanks John Brooks Secretary DDCA See more
