25.01.2022 Posted @withregram @streamline_timber Chapter 3: Just Waiting - These blokes, don’t like to rush things so the red gum slabs were stored for a little while longer in the father’s shearing shed and hay barn to dry out. And in 2020 our father and son team contacted Streamline Timber to work their magic on these beautiful pieces of history. Here comes the magic . . . .

25.01.2022 Posted @withregram @streamline_timber Chapter 4: The Conclusion - After processing the aged red gum slabs into usable timbers with limited waste, we got to work creating a huge dining room table (so big we had to get on top of it to oil it!) plus a bench seat and a desk. In December 2020, the mammoth task of moving the dining room table to its new home was completed - with the help of a crane, and our story came to an end. (Or is it just the beginning?) From potential firewood to stunning timber furniture that old red gum lives on.

22.01.2022 Posted @withregram @streamline_timber Chapter 2: The Story Continues - In April 2018 our father and son duo found a bloke in Harrow on the Lucas Mill website and got him to take the logs to his place and cut the old red gum into slabs. He offered to store it as his place until the father and son team figured out what to do with it. The slabs moved on to another property for a bit (rent was paid via a few bottles of red) and eventually the slabs were moved back from Harrow to the old man’s place. The story continues . . . .

The son’s idea was Let’s turn it into something . . . .Like what? asked the old man? No Idea, but i’ll figure something out. What's next . . . .

Lynne talks through her addition containing the kitchen and master suite including her amazing ensuite. She discusses the vision for the design and spaces, her love of colour. Lynne also talks through her brief for her art collection, coat and shoe collection and the requirements for fitting these into the proposed spaces. Lynne also talks about how she managed the process and her budget.
