23.01.2022 I am really pleased to announce that I am now partnering with #picalunafunerals as an independent Funeral Celebrant and Funeral Director. Working with Picaluna we can conduct end of life ceremonies in locations that are authentic to the person being farewelled - family homes, surf clubs, beaches, golf clubs etc, as well as traditional funeral chapels. Picaluna provides full price transparency and gives 10% of their profits back to clients' charity of choice. I believe deeply... that funerals and memorials provide the opportunity for great farewells to loved ones, as well as the opportunity for healing. I work with those facing death and next of kin and families to bring meaningful words, music, tributes and actions into the ceremony as well as delivering all funeral arrangements in partnership with Picaluna Funerals. Give me a call on 0421 616 121 if I can be of help or to learn more. #picalunafunerals, #funerals #funeralcelebrant #funeraldirector #northernbeachesfunerals https://bestcelebrant.com.au/ https://www.picaluna.com/ See more

23.01.2022 When is a $AUD150 cardboard coffin priceless Today I assisted at a funeral for a 95-year-old man who was an independent thinker, an activist, and an environmentalist. His family selected for him an eco coffin, made out of a recycled board, which only cost $150. They donated $ that would have been spent on a more expensive coffin to a charity. The coffin was plain, but family and friends, as part of the ceremony, wrote farewell messages and drew pictures on it which made it pe...rsonal, unique, and truly priceless. It really was the appropriate and authentic send off vessel for Philip. 22.01.2022 I was honored to be the Funeral Director, supported by the Picaluna Funerals team, at the funeral of Panela today, a proud Tongan man. The Tongan traditions and beautiful singing and the love for Panela were very strong. Such a beautiful farewell.

22.01.2022 So I know I am in the funeral business, but I think anyone would love this program on a NZ Funeral Home, doing such beautiful, authentic work with their families and particularly respecting cultural traditions. I love the respect shown to the deceased and the comfort the families show in being with them...and it is really funny as well as heartwarming. Season 3 has recently started and I can't wait to watch it. https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/the-casketeers #caskete...ers #funeralservice #funeraldirector https://bestcelebrant.com.au/beautiful-funerals

19.01.2022 Last week I was the celebrant for a Celebration of Life for a witty, smart and entrepreneurial man. A husband, father, son, brother, friend, taken too early by a heart attack. I sourced these candles for family and friends to light at the ceremony and then keep as Rememberance Candles that will be use at special occasions over the years.

19.01.2022 So why did I become a Celebrant? I actually never even thought I would get married let alone be conducting wedding ceremonies, and now funerals. However, when I did meet the right person and we decided that we wanted to be each others number one, I wanted my community of family and friends to understand that, with absolutely no doubt, and I wanted legally to be recognised as each others no.1. What surprised me about our marriage ceremony is how, with the right celebrant, and... we were lucky enough to have a fantastic celebrant, that the ceremony deepened our relationship so much more than I thought it would. It was also an incredible time to feel the love and support of family and friends. I loved our wedding so much, that I wanted to provide that service to others so I started by doing some Anthropology study into Ceremony and discovered that since man first stood upright Ceremony has played an important part in key milestones in life. Around the world nationalities who did not even know of each other, had developed similar ceremonies around births, coming of age, marriages and end of life. While working full time in a corporate role, I qualified as a Civil Celebrant in 2010 with my first wedding being officiating at my brother and his partner's wedding. Ten years on, after conducting lots of marriage ceremonies, all with very positive feedback from my couples, and some additional training, I am now moving into naming and end of life ceremonies. My belief that ceremonies can be transformative has not changed and I love creating ceremonies with deep meaning and just the right tone for my clients. See more

16.01.2022 I was fortunate to be assisting at a funeral last Thursday in Rose Bay of a lovely women. The service was made even more special by the moving singing of Hallelujah by her granddaughter - Melissa has an extraordinary voice. This is worth listening to, right to the end. #picaluna #funerals #Hallelujah

16.01.2022 From 1 December 2020, the number of people who can attend weddings will be lifted to 300 people subject to the four square metre rule indoors and two square metre rule outdoors. And now up to 5 people can sing together at the ceremony. This will allow people to make plans and book venues knowing the capacity ahead of time.... https://www.nsw.gov.au///wedding-ceremonies-and-receptions
