24.01.2022 Ex Ns!! From next week our full timetable will be back into action! As per step 3, classes will be OUTDOORS with a max of 10 people. YAY for Spring! ... With the success of our Zoom classes during Lockdown 2.0, EVERY class will also be available via Zoom! This gives you the option to either train outdoors or participate from home! *PLUS for a limited time, we are keeping the membership at the reduced rate of $20 per week! Please let us know ASAP if you’re planning on coming off suspension, or if you’re a new/returning member! We can’t wait to see you all!! 20.01.2022 Twins that train together Emma and Sarah have worked so hard in the gym (pre lockdown 2.0) and working super hard from home through our zoom classes. With the second round of lockdown they are still keeping eachother accountable by booking into the same zoom classes and both have been putting in 110% in each and every session and we love that ... 18.01.2022 MEMBER SHOUT OUT SHANNON FREEMAN! Shannon started at Be Strong just before we went back into lockdown wanting to gain weight and get stronger ... "" Guysss!! I’ve literally haven’t weighed over 57kg for a few years now.. PUMPED to say that I just got some scales because I look a bit different these days . I weigh 59.2!! Everyone thinks I’m silly for wanting to weigh more but at the same time I always get comments made about how skinny I look, almost like they think I don’t own a mirror! Haha. I am trying so hard to eat lots of nutritious food & not underestimate my ability to use the heavier weights. Even in iso this is the best gym I’ve ever been apart of, thanks for always pushing me! Plus the abs coming through are a bloody bonus "" We are so incredibly proud of you Shannon! What you have achieved in such a short amount of time is amazing and we are loving the commitment you are putting towards your training and nutrition !

Since the lockdown began, Halie has shown up on zoom each day to get her daily exercise even if it means getting up for the 6am sessions and that means a lot to BeStrong and it’s trainers. 13.01.2022 AGE IS SIMPLY A NUMBER. Over the last 4 weeks these four legends have been practicing handstands in our group PT sessions. This group of friends are aged between 39 and 59 years of age and once a week for 45min we have been working on their progressions to a handstand. I love that they are always willing to try something a little different, no matter how scary it may seem at the start. To watch their confidence grow has made me so proud as their coach. ... Just look at how far they have come! Keep up the good work guys **language warning for the video**

11.01.2022 Member shout out : NAT GORDON Nat is one of our OG members and she is one hell of a pocket rocket!!! This video from March was Nats first attempt of a legless rope climb .... and she SMASHED IT ... No work out or exercise is too little or too big for this legend, she's willing to give everything a go - fear is no worry to her She's always down for a chat and will ALWAYS encourage others during class. Keep up the awesome work Nat!

10.01.2022 TEAM EFFORT When the second lockdown was announced these guys did not want to loose the progress they had been making in the gym but they also wanted some more accountability, so we have continued our group PT sessions over zoom! Their commitment is amazing and they are always wanting to learn and achieve more. We have been going ‘back to basics’ the last few weeks and really focusing on our form before we progress to more advanced moves or using heavier weights.... We always manage to work up a good sweat and have a laugh along the way. I absolutely love coaching these legends!!

You absolutely kicked butt this year. Mama to 1, pregnant with second, hours increased to adapt to this unpredictable year & you handled it all like a pro. 06.01.2022 One of our own Be Strong family members Naomi Mills is participating in The Long Run! The Long Run is an awareness and fundraising event for Australian men and families impacted by prostate cancer. Unfortunately Naomi’s amazing dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. To participate all you need to do is run, walk or wheel 72km during September; when and where is up to you. So we thought this would be a great way to help get everyone off... their bums and moving that little bit more during lockdown. To clock up the 72kms it is simply 2.4kms per day, which is very achievable for all of us! Every kilometre you cover will raise funds to bring us closer to a world where prostate cancer is no longer a burden and where all men and their families with a diagnosis are supported. I’m sure each and every one of us has somehow been effected by this horrible disease, so let’s all get behind Naomi and show her the great support we know our amazing community can! Variety - Having 3 coaches program the workouts ensures there is a variety of movements included in our workouts each week. This way our members are never bored.... Metabolic Adaptions - We utilise broad rep ranges as well as exercise modes to encourage adaptions in strength and aerobic capacity to increase the general fitness of our members. Injury Prevention - We have set themes to target differing muscle groups in order to prevent over fatigue and injury. We incorporate a balance of the basic movement patterns of pushing, pulling, hinging, or squatting. Workout specific warm ups and cool downs are also included. Assess Fitness - We design workouts to assess the fitness of our members and encourage them to record their workouts to observe their progress. These assessments are used to serve as personal motivation. Enjoyment - We always have our members feedback and comments in our minds as we program. We love to see them have fun and enjoy the challenges thrown their way. We love what we do, and we think you will too.

04.01.2022 MEMBER SHOUT OUT MATILDA LAPPIN Matilda started at Be Strong in April last year with an 8 week challenge wanting to become stronger, feel more comfortable in her body and be more independent. 17months later and this beautiful woman is kicking serious goals ... I love the atmosphere at Be Strong. It’s so encouraging and welcoming. I have never felt nervous or embarrassed in this gym and I feel so confident in the trainers Matilda is always up for trying new movements in classes and while she isn’t the biggest fan of cardio she does love a good Kettlebell Flow. The zoom workouts have been my saviour during this lockdown. It keeps me in some sort of routine and keeps me accountable. I look forward to the workouts every day! It has been so fun and I’m feeling really proud of myself for keeping up my fitness in these strange times! Matilda your determination and dedication has not gone unnoticed, we love and appreciate seeing your smiley face either in the gym or over Zoom. Keep kicking goals mate Welcome to the gun show

01.01.2022 VIRTUAL MARATHON On Sunday we had 15 of our members participate in a virtual marathon. The members were split up into 2 teams- ‘Scrambled Legs’ and ‘Easier said than run’ each team then divided the 42kms between them and had one hour per member to complete as much walking/running as they could. Over 6 hours we managed to clock up 87.1kms between us all!! A special shout out to both Mark Lansdown and Alex Russell who completed 20kms and 10kms respectively! And also a huge th...anks to Shannon Freeman for organizing it all It was a great motivator to get us out of the house and move our bodies
