23.01.2022 When Malakhi was just 16 years old, he had a heart attack. He stopped breathing and was rushed to hospital by his Mum, Danielle. Doctors and nurses at Blacktown Hospital worked fast and thankfully, saved his life. They found an undiagnosed heart condition and corrected it. Today, Malakhi is a healthy young man who just celebrated his 17th birthday. ... This Christmas, we are aiming to raise $20k to purchase a cardiac heart monitor that will save lives like Malakhis. 22.01.2022 Meet gorgeous little Sebastian - he has two holes in his little heart. Sebastian was diagnosed with Incomplete AVSD when he was just a newborn and has spent countless days in the paediatric ward at Mount Druitt Hospital. His mum, Adriana, is always by his side. This year, the Better Foundation funded new clinical rooms and resting spaces for parents and children who are facing the toughest battles. ... This is who you are supporting. This is why the Better Foundation exists - to provide high quality healthcare to families when they need it most.

21.01.2022 The kids at Mount Druitt Paediatric ward got a very exciting surprise this week, thanks to some very special visitors. Parker and Fletcher are three very thoughtful little boys who collected and donated beautiful, brand new toys to the childrens ward at Mount Druitt Hospital. How awesome are they? Pictured below are Tiarn and Taitum, two of our gorgeous patients, enjoying their exciting new gifts!... Play therapist, Eleanor, said "Play is such an essential part of recovery in Paediatric patients. The excitement and care felt by the patients spreads beyond just receiving a gift, it provides a chance for the patients to play with something of their own and allows them to take away something positive from a not so positive experience." Hit like and lets thank these gorgeous little boys for their support!

19.01.2022 Mount Druitt Hospital has officially opened its new multipurpose therapies room today! The Better Foundation funded this clinic to allow children with food challenges to be tested in a safe space within the hospital. This facility will cater to 1 in 10 kids facing allergies which can potentially be fatal. We are thrilled to see it in action!

18.01.2022 Sick kids at Mount Druitt Kids Ward got a very special Christmas treat this week when they got a visit from our lovely friends at Western Earthmoving. The team decorated the ward, dropped off presents and organised some gingerbread cookie decorating and bauble making. The kids just lit up and had such a wonderful time. We are so grateful for our wonderful community and the effort they put in to cheer up kids and families doing it tough this Christmas.
