25.01.2022 Since safety is a felt experience and not a cognitive one, you want to show your body that it is safe. A helpful way to help yourself to become more present is ...called orienting. It can be a slow experience of looking around your environment to find something that is pleasing to the eyes. This could be a glance out the window to see a tree or bird, a favorite painting, your pet, really anything that registers in your body a moment of okayness. The body feels that while there may be stress there is also a moment of safety available too. See more

Its massive renovation program has included $21 million for a music school, $16 million for a boarding facility and $2.5 million to refurbish its boathouse. As a charity the school receives perks including income tax exemptions, GST concessions and deductible gift recipient status..... Then there is one of Australia’s poorest schools, Sheid...ow Park Primary School in South Australia. As principal Jennie-Marie Gorman does her annual walk around the school with the finance officer and the grounds person, they pass windows held together by safety screens; inspect the playgrounds built 20 years ago; note the walls that haven’t been painted in 15 years; and look again at the patch of exposed concrete in the front office, where the finance officer’s swivel chair has worn a hole in the carpet. The retired admiral was advocating for the drugs' authorised use based on a belief psychedelics offered the "only possibility of a cure for post-traumatic stress disorder". The use of MDMA for the treatment of PTSD could soon become widespread in the United States with a decision delivered b...y the drug administration group next month. The Therapeutic Goods Administration was expected to follow suit. 05.01.2022 "Unlike traditional antidepressants or antipsychotics, MDMA had shown ongoing positive results in the treatment of PTSD after being administered just a few times in a controlled setting. Dr Caldicott said the drug allowed sufferers of PTSD to speak, sometimes for the first time, about the trauma making them sick. "As many as two-thirds of these people being treated are not only effectively cured of their situation but have no ongoing requirement for any more of those drugs," ...he said. Dr Caldicott said while the strongest data was for the treatment of PTSD with MDMA, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, psilocybin, was also showing promising results for treatment-resistant depression, as was ketamine.
