24.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.... Lest we forget

24.01.2022 Today members of the Crew where honoured to take part in the Vietnam Veterans Day Service in Bendigo, where they unveiled a plaque dedicated to the six soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice, one of these soldiers being Bevan As well as meeting one of the original members of the crew, some members of the Trimble family and some of the man who fought beside Bevan. Its at these events and meeting not only new members of the family and mates, and some of the original crew mem...bers that you start to really see the pride these people have, to know that this crew, honouring Bevan, has been running for almost 50 years, and to know that the current members still look back and remember the origins of the Crew. As a member of the Crew, meeting these people, is an honour and makes you proud to be part of a crew that has such a rich and unique origin and history.

22.01.2022 A big congratulations to Hannah Bowes on being booted on the weekend. She has been a member of our since 2006 and was crew leader in 2012-2013. Hannah has grown a lot in during her time in rovers and has made so many valuable friendships. She has also had the opportunity to interact with a number of crews including being hosted by Keith Farquar and Kulin Rover Crews in her final year as she moved for work. We wish Hannah all the best for her next steps in her scouting career and thank her for her contribution to the crew of the years.

08.01.2022 Last week, our Crew Leader, Andrew, lead a hike party consisting of 7 Rovers and one of our RAs, 6 from our own crew, as well as one member of the Cape Byron Rover Crew, over to New Zealand to complete The Abel Tasman Coastal Track for his Physical Badge. Whilst we were over there, we had the pleasure of meeting up with a Rover from Austria, Pia, who was also to complete the track when we were. With Pia tagging along, our merry band of Trampers (hikers) set off to complete t...he track. In the last couple of months the Northern Part of the South Island have seen, what the locals were calling the worst storms they had ever seen. As part of Andrews plan, we had offered our services to the Department of Conservation to complete Service to the park. This service was completed in the form of the clearing out of the culverts along the track; this was to help in the prevention of damage to the tracks from erosion. Congratulations to Andrew, and the rest of the party on, from all reports, was a trip to remember. #Rovers100 #Service #Hiking
