14.01.2022 STEM with 3/4K The students in 3/4K we’re excited to be future creators, inventors, scientists and artists as they explored Circuit Scribes - a conductive pen which brought their electronic artwork to life . Great work 3/4K !

13.01.2022 This week is Harmony week (15th -21st March) Our school celebrated Harmony Day on Tuesday the 16th of March. The message for Harmony Day is ‘everybody belongs’. It aims to promote respect for the cultural diversity and religious diversity throughout Australia. The colour orange is a symbol of social communication and meaningful conversation. It promotes mutual respect. I look forward to seeing all the students on the playground when they return next week on Monday the 12 of October. ... The following advice has been provided by the Department of Education for Term 4. Activities to resume Some of the activities that can now proceed for Term 4 with restrictions are: Kindergarten orientations (advice on Bexley Public School’s Kindergarten Transition program to follow in coming weeks) Year 6-7 transitions Interschool activities End of year celebrations such as graduations and dances (advice on Bexley Public School’s year 6 graduation and presentation day to follow in coming weeks) Excursions Continued restrictions for Term 4 All routines and activities that remain unchanged are: Parents and carers and other non-essential visitors are not allowed on the school site. Current student pick up and drop off routines to remain in place. Where possible, students will stay within their relevant cohort group (i.e. class, year group, or stage). Only providers that are essential to the delivery of curriculum can continue to provide services and programs until further notice. All teachers, support staff and parents will maintain physical distance from each other (1.5 metres). 06.01.2022 STEM lesson using our new AR and VR technology.

05.01.2022 Today in STEM we took technology to the next step using a merge cube and the merge explorer app. Kindy and Yr 1 students used augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) for the very first time. They bought holograms to life in the palm of their hands. They explored the galaxy, the human body and our Earth in 3D. They enjoyed their lesson a lot!

03.01.2022 P&C Raffle The P&C have reached out to the local community to support the school in raising money to bring our School Mascots to life. Our mascots Bex & Lee stand for the schools core values of Active, Respectful and Safe Learners. They are an important visual symbol of what it means to be a student at Bexley Public School. I thank the P&C for their efforts in supporting the school. $2 for one ticket or $20 for a book... Thanks to the P&C for their support.
