24.01.2022 Found this for dogs who get stressed due to Fireworks and/ or thunder. https://www.k9ofmine.com/diy-thundershirt/. Please make sure your pets are safe this new years. Set up a room with blacked out windows and objects to dampen sounds, leave the radio or TV on a station that will not cross to fireworks. Put there collars on and make sure the contact details are correct just in case.

17.01.2022 On hot days please don't walk your dogs during the heat. Get up early and walk before it heats up or walk in the evening when it cools off. Here are some ideas to keep your dogs entertained on hot day and ways to keep your pets cool: > Freeze their breakfast over nights on hot nights. It cools them off, helps keep them hydrated.... > Make Frozen treats by freezing water in layers with teats on each level. You can also use watered down gravy, stock and juice. > Fill a shell pool with water and ice. Can also throw toys and treats in. > Put their breakfast/ dinner in brain game puzzles. These can also be fun to make. >Play games inside. Ask your dog to find someone hiding in the house "Where is (Mum, Dad, Bec)". >Training. Small sessions 5 minutes max. > Cool mats, or a cool damp towel. When traveling make sure you have water for you pets as well as yourself. and Put a cool towel in the car in case you need to cool off your dog. Make sure your pets always have access to clean fresh water and shade.

08.01.2022 Please keep an eye on your pets and know the signs of heat stroke. Keep a damp towel on hand and if you notice the signs of heatstroke cool them down slowly too avoid shock and take them to a vet ASAP. https://www.rspcapetinsurance.org.au//heatstroke-hyperther
