16.01.2022 I produced and wrote the very first tvc for Skippers (now known as Muddy's Cafe) in September 2004, while working for Seven Cairns. We shot on a sunny Saturday morning and I roped in some family and friends. Being 15+ years since this was produced, all of the kids have since grown up! The boy (Jack) licking the ice cream @ 0:06 and the "running boy" (Josh) @ 0:12 are now in university, studying film & tv and medicine, respectively. The boy touching the wet lens @ 0:10 is Marc...us, now an accomplished swimmer towering over 6' 7''. Other cameos to feature are Sue Lohmann and one of her twin girls @ 0:07, Rod aka Poppy (my father) grabbing a feed @ 0:08, and a young Cai Foley (the cameraman's son) @ 0:09. 14.01.2022 I think one of the most character-developing times in my life was working as a Camera Assistant/Driver on Eco-Challenge Australia in 1997. It's great to see it's been revived after all these years, now with Bear Grylls as host. Well worth a binge on Amazon Prime Videos... Maybe we can host it in Australia again some day?

Cowboys won 23-22, sealed by a Valentine Holmes field goal up my end of the field in a golden point thriller....
