25.01.2022 We would like to welcome the new Crew Executive for our fantastic rover crew, and wish them all the best with the next 12 months. They, along with all our sections, have been busy meeting online all throughout the last 6 months, and they would be more than happy to have you come past for a night if you are interested in joining.

24.01.2022 As promised earlier in the week, here are the details for the Statewide Cook Along this Sunday! We can’t wait to see how many of our members will be able to join in and create some fantastic dishes, and we would love to have you join us!

23.01.2022 Registrations for VicJam are now live! We are super excited to have such an awesome looking event to work towards this year. Who else is coming along?

23.01.2022 We can’t wait to be able to get outdoors again, and we would love you to be with us when we do. Now is the perfect time to join scouting, with no fees until March 2021, and online nights still running, you can try out all the things scouting can offer risk free.

23.01.2022 Last night, our Venturer Unit sent some members down to Scouts to run a night on Camp Safety. The Scouts learned some tips for safer campfires, as well as gas safety. Thanks to Whitehorse Venturers for coming along, we hope to see you again soon!

22.01.2022 While we were all very upset when AJ2022 had to be cancelled, we can’t wait to see what happens with VicJam - the Victorian Jamboree to be held in its place. Registrations open on Monday - will we see you there?

21.01.2022 There are not many benefits to gathering restrictions, but one of the most notable has been how we have adapted to online so quickly. Scouting is one of the only youth organisations that has kept running throughout the pandemic, at all levels from our local group right up to a state level - including the upcoming state ARAP. If you are interested in joining, see the post below.

21.01.2022 What a great chance for our members to get some amazing info and insights! If any members want to watch this, speak with your leaders for info or check your emails for the latest info from ScoutQuest

21.01.2022 Christmas is nearly here and we're selling Christmas Trees this December! Fill out the form below to pre-order your tree or check out the dates below to choose yours at our hall. We also deliver locally each afternoon. https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSd_UfghYhEE4iUTRt/viewform

18.01.2022 In times like this, it’s so heartwarming to see that we play such an important role in the local community. Scouting helps young people develop life skills that have real world impacts. It’s never been a more important time in the world, and we would love you to join us and help inspire the younger generations to keep the good work going.

17.01.2022 We know that times are tough at the moment, and you are probably running out of ideas for things to do on the weekend. Never fear, Scouting is here! Join us as we all do our best to cook along at home. You are welcome to join in, wether you are a current member, a past member, or even just interested. More info will be posted on the Scouts Victoria Facebook page later this week, so make sure you like them as well so you don’t miss out!

14.01.2022 Unfortunately AJ2022 will not be going ahead, due to continuing uncertainty around travel and major events. We are understandably upset, but fully support the difficult decisions that have had to be made. We are hopeful that some Victorian activities will be able to fill the gap.

14.01.2022 Why just hang around with nothing to do at home? With no fees until 31st March 2021, now is the perfect time to #BeAScout - even from home! With all sections meeting online regularly we haven’t let the world stop us. Get in contact today to find out more information.

13.01.2022 Did you know that Scouting has adapted to our current challenges? With suitable concessions made for those completing peak awards, scouting isn’t stopping, and why should you? #BeAScout and join us today - with no fees until March 31 2021, why would you wait!

13.01.2022 As Term 3 comes to an end, we reflect on what has been a difficult time for many online. However, we have been resourceful as ever, and continued to meet online each week. Some of our usual traditions have been more challenging, such as opening parade without a flag. Luckily, our cubs rose to the challenge and created their own versions! We are continuing to meet online until we are able to safely return to face to face scouting. We are also continuing to not charge fees until April 2021, so there has never been a better time to join us and #BeAScout at Box Hill North and Scouts Victoria

13.01.2022 It's a difficult time for many in the world, so from all at our Scout Group, we want to reach out and ask "R U OK?". While scouting can help promote resilience, that doesn't mean we don't get worried from time to time. Make sure you reach out to someone if you are feeling down, and if you are feeling OK, check in on someone, and see how they are doing.

12.01.2022 Scouting is all about teamwork, friendship, leadership and learning life skills, which helps to build resilient and self sufficient young people to lead us forward in the future. Why not join us and experience the benefits yourself? Get in touch today!

12.01.2022 Congratulations from all at Box Hill North Scout Group tonight to our Rover Adviser (and founding member of our group) Giff Hatfield, not just for 65 years of service to Scouting, but also on his very well deserved appointment as Life Member of Scouts Victoria

11.01.2022 Our Venturers are barreling through the move to the Achievement Pathways, and we are really excited to see what they have been doing throughout. It won’t be long before all units at Box Hill North join the adventure of moving across, and we look forward to the new and exciting challenges that will come with it.

11.01.2022 Tomorrow is World Scout Day, and while the event would normally be marked with celebrations and get-togethers, this year we will have to do our best to celebrate the day differently. One way you can show your support is to wear your scout scarf with pride, particularly if you go for your daily exercise or to the shops for your essential supplies. We want to show the world that we are still here doing fantastic things, so jump on board!

10.01.2022 Not long now until we will all be cooking up a storm at home!

10.01.2022 Join Scouts today and discover what fun and adventure can wait. To discover what we have to offer, get in touch - [email protected] - and come #BeAScout today!

09.01.2022 For over 100 years, scouting has built resilience in young people from all backgrounds. We are proud to continue that tradition today, and there is no greater show of resilience than how well our young people have adapted to the current climate. With our members still completing work in all challenge areas, there is always room for more, and we would love to share the benefits of scouting with your family. So come on, #BeAScout today!

09.01.2022 For those scouts who might be stuck at home these holidays, never fear! Scouts Victoria has been working hard on some additions to the new program just for you!

09.01.2022 We are all very excited at Box Hill North about the rollout of Our Program and the Achievement Pathways. If you want to learn more about what it is, tune in on Saturday to hear more.

07.01.2022 What a fantastic way to finish the year!! Scouts and Venturers at Westerfolds park enjoying a game of Kayak paddleball. Finished with a going up investiture for a Cub to Scout.

06.01.2022 For the next 3 months, membership of Scouts Victoria is free! To help us to provide fantastic opportunities for all our members, we are fundraising with entertainment books. 05.01.2022 A fantastic article about how scouting can help keep young people engaged during this challenging time. Box Hill North is one of hundreds of groups to have adapted out program for online.

05.01.2022 You know it’s Christmas when the Scouts start advertising Christmas trees!

04.01.2022 It’s great that our youth members are starting to get back out in the wider world, although we might question their choice of lunchtime catering! With plans well underway to get back meeting in person in Term 3, there’s never been a better time to #BeAScout.

03.01.2022 While it may be a little while before we get back out in groups, we haven’t lost our sense of adventure. With many of our large activities moving online, it’s even easier for people to try new things, and I know they can’t wait to get their hands dirty trying them out as soon as it’s safe. We would love to share the fun with you, so why not #BeAScout today!

02.01.2022 Hi Mount Dandenong We hope you are all well. In line with the announcement today from Chief Commissioner Rod Byrnes, Scouthike 2020 will not proceed on May 15-...17th 2020 due to the COVID-19 Risk and State Government directive on mass gatherings. Whilst this is disappointing for us all, we must protect all Scouters, youth, adults and leaders from infection risk. Scouthike 2020 may still proceed later in the year but this will be based on the COVID-19 risk and assessment moving forward. If a suitable date cannot be found, then unfortunately Scouthike 2020 will be cancelled. This will be a Scouthike Management team decision on advice from State and the EMT team. This is very disappointing news for us all and I know everyone’s passion for Scouthike and the huge effort we all put in to make this one of the highest attended and loved Scouting events. We will watch this space as things unfold and we thank you again for your ongoing support for Scouthike. Yours in Scouting Scouthike Management Team

01.01.2022 We are saddened to report that 2 life members of Box Hill North (11th Box Hill) have passed away in the last week. Ian Taylor, former Group Leader David Buchanan, former Committee Member... We send our best wishes to both families.
