19.01.2022 Meet the Macleay CAN DO Companion Line volunteers who provide social and needed contact to many islanders who are isolated or feeling vulnerable or simply love the contact with them. They are a great bunch and you can always give them a call on 0422 465 493 or if you live on Lamb Island 0466 733 904. Katherine, Lee, Kathy, Janette, Kay and Jayne.

18.01.2022 BICSI was happy to be able to donate to Michele of Wildlife Russell Island animal blankets and pouches for island injured or rescued wildlife. Michele had with her 'Sonic' a 6 month old swamp wallaby that had been abandoned by the parent. Eventually Sonic will be released back into the wild on the islands. Wildlife Russell Island can be contacted on 0411 267 612 as Michele regularly rescues wallabies, kookaburras, curlews, snakes, lizards, many wild birds and even a couple of stray mutton birds that had got lost in their travels. 14.01.2022 All the fun is starting again here at Bay Island Community Services Inc on the 6th of July Monday 9am to noon we have giggles and craft. If you know somebody that loves craft and a good giggle and doesn't have a Facebook account could you please share our activity information with them, the more the merrier and we would love to see you all here.

12.01.2022 Meet the Macleay Op Shop Coffee Corner team. Jayne, Wendy, Kathy, Katherine, Vicky and Lynda. We've been told we make the best barista coffee on Macleay. Come and see for yourself.

09.01.2022 We did it... Bit late though. NATIONAL TREE PLANTING DAY. Thank you to all the community members who donated plants to the Macleay Op Shop gardens for National Tree Planting Day. Many enjoyed the sausage sizzle BICSI put on for the participants.

03.01.2022 The wonderful bands that kept us entertained. Swampfish, Mama Juju & the Jam Tarts and Crosses for Lovers and our MC Gerard Thompson from the Friendly Bay Islander.

03.01.2022 We were privileged to be invited to Parliament House by Kim Richards MP for lunch with the Minister for Communities Hon Coralee O'Rourke. Tony Cotroneo (manager BICSI), Angela Collins (assistant manager BICSI), Vicky Macdonald (co-ordinator BICSI CAN DO) and Janette Jones (co-ordinator BICSI CAN DO Companion Line) enjoyed a balcony luncheon with other Redland community groups.

03.01.2022 Another yummy 'Young at Heart' Senior's Lunch at BICSI Russell Island. We had over 30 for this wonderful two course meal for only $12 PLUS entertainment. Once a month we hold this for the community. Book ahead for Septembers now on 3409 1177 or pop in and see us.
